Although I do not follow politics... a friend of mine does, and just mentioned to me something I thought I would pass on. Especially to Dorothy Colleen... and anyone else in Alberta.

The new Premier of Alberta seems to have broken with tradition in a big way, by re-instating funding for SRS patients in the province (up to 25 per year) -- without waiting to be forced into it by the legal actions still winding their ways through the courts.

Smile. I was on the record a while back as stating that it would take a court order to make the government of Alberta start funding this again... which I thought would take many years... and that it would take something drastic in the way of change in the current political climate to speed things up. Apparently, I was wrong -- and something drastic did indeed happen to Alberta politics.

It is not often that I speak of any politician using printable vocabulary... but kudos to the new Premier of Alberta, Alison Redford, for a job well done! Grin. If you want a job done right -- get a woman to do it... ;-)

Very nice.

Went to google it and found this. Seems like it is, indeed, back on the books. I'm surprised the CBC didn't have anything on it. I'm sure there will be some unhappy right wing campers. Hopefully the government won't backtrack.
