I’m not a girly girl. At least I don’t think I am, but then again I find it hard to go to work or pretty much go out of the house without some BB cream* and eyeliner. The problem is I have a hard time waking up early, so I’m always rushing to work. I end up putting my makeup in a cab and I’ve become quite good at it. I guess it’s a legacy from my mom who’s an expert at putting makeup in a moving vehicle, especially when she’s hurrying to a performance as a soprano singer, so she'll be putting on sophisticated stage makeup inside the car. Or when she's going to conduct a lecture somewhere and needs a "professional" but beautiful face.

I’m a little embarassed to say that I even pluck stray eyebrow hairs while in a cab on the way to work, but I try to leave the other kinds of plucking at home. Like plucking up to 3 stray hairs on my chin that grow once every 3 weeks. I consider myself lucky in this area because I’ve never really grown facial hair other than a few stragglers here and there. I don’t know if it’s because I started HRT at 19 years old, genetics, or maybe both. In fact I’ve seen some genetic girls with more facial hair than me.

Lucky you!

I wish that, at 19, I had started the HRT........ brave girl! Love, Ginger

Comment regarding Blemish Balms/creams

While they are not called blemish creams in the article, a comment and reply in the editorial column, which I cannot find now, mentioned that the sin lighteners in the below article are often called blemish creams.

Be careful of the Blemish Balm. The above article about skin lighteners from the far east and Mexico, appeared about a week ago in the Contra Costa ( California) Times newspaper. it states that many of them have been brought in and sold without FDA approvals, which they would never get, because they contain large amounts of mercury, which after years of use my give the user or their family members, mercury poisoning. Some contain as much as 60 thousand times the 1 part per million level allowed. That's up to 6%, where the legal limit is 0.0001%

Check what you have and see if it has a proper list of ingredients.

It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.

Seriously

I know a lot about these preparations. If you send me a list of the ingredients I cam tell you if there are any on there that I know are harmful. That doesn't mean saying 'yeah, that's fine' but rather, if necessary, 'NO!!!'
