In the Northern Hemisphere in winter, generally the male reindeer will shed their antlers, the female reindeer (being one of two female breeds who have antlers) will maintain their antlers to allow for clearing of snow for foraging so as to support their young.

According to Wikipedia:

Despite the fact the character Lassie is female, all collies to play Lassie in the television series were male because male collies retain a thicker summer coat than females, which "looks better on television." Also, the male is larger and a child actor can play opposite the dog for longer before outgrowing him.

Does Montgomery Wards count as Hollywood? Because Rudolf was created by a Montgomery Ward Copywriter at the specific behest of his employer (despite claims that it was written by a father trying to console his daughter). :)

Let's face it; with a large percentage of the world's resources in the hands of relatively few people, those people doing their utmost to destroy this planet and most of the East relying on a horse designed by a committee (the camel - the only thing they got right), God has to be a committee mainly consisting of men (sorry guys; I'm somewhat of a feminist).

each year when Tanya, the roommate, wraps gifts for her family, I help. I also watch the old cartoons with her, that and Muppet Christmas carol. I can't help but yell at Santa for being a major but-head.
