Yes, the show was well done. It was shown in it's central timeslot, even in OKC. Uhmm, the 11 year old girl had, in addition to GID, aphasia, so didn't try to talk much. It appeared to be genetic, as her mother also demonstrated aphasia along with the gesture adaptations to allow her to speak, though haltingly. It is sometimes associated with birth defects considered intersex, so the 11 years old girl should be checked for being intersexed to some degree or another. The two younger kids were nice, and very natural as little girls, not as little boys.

The two young men were very typical for the most part, and one of them had attempted suicide in the depths of depression. The elder was very articulate and charming.

Dr. McGuinn is both a SRS and plastic surgeon and a post op TS herself. She has a clinic that is billed as a one-stop shop for therapy, hormones, through various surgical procedures. Potential clients who contacted her I know either really like her or can't stand her as a Dr.

The 22 yr. old TS woman who enrolled in a nursing program, and was expelled from the college she had enrolled in was interesting, though I had heard the story when it was first reported several weeks ago. Several facts were left out in the little interview though. It's just my opinion, but she was being unrealistic to enroll in such a conservative, religous based school as California Baptist University, and thinking she could get away with stealth while appearing on television programs as openly TS. The university did a background check when her application gender did not agree with the Social Security information when she was awarded scholarships, so her days were numbered anyway due to identity mismatch. Only a week after the local show whe appeared on was aired, she was expelled, and they used her use of a female designation on the application as evidence of fraud, likely making the action within their rights, though they do not state that an applicant must be straight, or a reasonably close facimile thereof, to apply. They simply used her identity mismatch against her, and I think it was rather naive of her not to think about her inaccurate and crossed identification.

I also found it sad that both the younger girls reported harrassment and bullying, even though the school admin folks were supposed to be preventing it. The parents rightfully dread her entry into middle school. And the protective brother of one of the girls was a nice touch as well. I have a 3-D friend who had a brother that watched over her in school too, though he had his own problems (schizophrenia) that finally led to his suicide as an adult.

Overall, an "A" plus for the show I think.
