APPLE CAKE

3 CUPS OF FLOUR
8 OZ OF OIL
3 EGGS
 ¼ CUP SUGAR
 ½ TSP BAKING POWDER
MAKE DOUGH
3 LBS OF MC INTOSH APPLES ( GRANNY SMITH or HONEY CRISP MAY BE USED )
You want tart apples
GRATED APPLES
 ½ CUP OF SUGAR IN APPLE MIX less to taste
1 TBS OF CINNAMON ( MORE MAY BE ADDED TO YOUR TASTE )
A FEW DROPS OF WATER

PLACE A THIN LAYER OF DOUGH ON THE BOTTOM OF A 9X13 X2 PAN
SAVE SOME DOUGH FOR THE TOPPING *
PLACE APPLES EVENLY OVER DOUGH
COVER WITH REMAINING DOUGH
HEAT OVEN TO 350
COOK FOR 1 HOUR UNCOVERED TOP SHOULD BE BROWN

TO KEEP CAKE MOIST COVER WITH A DISH TOWEL UNTIL FINISHED

* THE TOPPING SHOULD BE PIECES PATTED FLAT AND PLACE ON TOP DON’T WORRY IF IT DOES NOT FULLY COVER
