Amazingly bad behavior
I understand completely.
We were vending at a festival and the vendor across the way was playing a "Native American" chant CD, they were playing it at a high volume and it sounded more like a group of men beating and old woman with clubs, by the end of the day we all had pounding headaches. We had repeatedly asked them to turn it down which they would only do after the organizers talked to them, then it would creep up again.
This year we were very specific about being as far away from them as possible.
They were vending "Indian Fried Bread". I was appalled to see them take a slice of Wonder Bread out of a bag, throw it into an electric frying pan of hot oil, degrease it on a paper towel and sprinkle it with powdered sugar. Indian Fried Bread my arse.

This guy actually sung the songs he was playing, but it was so soft and after the 15th time the first day, we hated it. Songs like Back home again by John Denver, Leader of the band by Dan Folgelburg and a ton of Gordon Lightfoot.
Then I go to the main stage and the same guy is singing....the same freaking songs.
I'm assuming this is Barnsville in extream west central Minn?
Sounds like fun.
We have apple festivals, cranberry festivals and danged near anything else in Wisconsin.

Years ago...
....we had the pleasure of attending the Wayland Potato Festival in Wayland, New York. Judging by the signs posted months ahead of time as well as the articles and ads in the newspapers further north where we lived, we expected to be in for a real treat, both my spouse and me being at least in part of Irish descent. Instead what we got was water dunk tanks, marginally acceptable food, including a banal assortment of potato dishes best suited for the frozen food section in the grocery, and a site that was a vendor magnet for every macrame artist and builder of beer can bi-planes in the North East.
You want a festival, go to an ethnic presentation in a city or town near you. You want potatoes? Cook 'em yourself; you'll be better fed, and you won't have to drive 178 miles round trip to get them!
