Hi ho, hi ho, it's off to France we go.
Sadly, it's not permanent yet, but we're not ruling that out for March of next year - maybe sooner if we can. Still we ARE going to do it, never mind how long it takes.
This time, we have the last bits of the flat's decorating and stuff to do so that we can hand the keys over to the letting agent for letting on our behalf. That way, hopefully, it will look after the cost of running the house.
Having said that, we don't know whether the work that was supposed to have been done, has been done and if it has, what kind of job they've done; more to the point, how much making good is there to do and can we do it all in less than a week?
So many questions and until tomorrow, not an answer to be had. What we do know is that it's a 4am start tomorrow morning, which neither of us are looking forward to.
In the mean time, I've released my first E-book on Amazon in Kindle format - a kind of update of The Witch's Tarot, which I've renamed A Witch In Time and even designed a really slick cover for. I have no idea what to expect as the Amazon world is huge compared to the BC world and marketing/advertising is something I don't have the budget for. I'd like to see it becoming a bestseller and who wouldn't like to see their first novel or novella hitting the big time, but being honest, if I sell one copy, I'll be a happy man. Dropping my one little story into the Amazon pond is somewhat akin to dropping a single microbe into the Atlantic with the expectations that others will find it.
It may sound pessimistic, but I call it realism.
Any-who, I'll be back in circulation from the fifth or sixth of Sept and fingers crossed, with good news to share - for anyone who gives a ...
Have a good week, peeps and see you soon,
Nick

Heres a link to Nick's book
Because of Amazon's dispute with the State of California, I no longer earn commissions for sales on Amazon's site but here's a link to Nick's book anyway!

Thanks, Erin
It just goes to prove that there are people out there who are just thoroughly nice.
Erin comes at the top of that category.
I don't just look it, I'm totally of the belief that Erin's a really good egg
Got it!
Thanks, XXXX!

Well the info text doesn't really say much. A witch plans to get revenge 500 years later? On whom? The descendants of her persecutors?
Seems interesting :D
Btw. can you read kindle books on a notebook too`?
Kindle Reading Apps
To find a Kindle reading app for various devices just go to the Amazon site, From the drop down list under "Shop All Departments" choose "Kindle" and then "Free Kindle Reading Apps".

I've downloaded many free or low cost eBooks from the constantly changing Kindle best sellers lists (Top 100 Paid / Top 100 Free).

Free books
I have over 600 books on my Kindle - about 350 came from the top 100 paid/100 free - all from the free side of course. The rest came from authors here and some from Baen Publishing which has released about 120 of their older SF/fantasy titles for free download.
The quality varies quite a bit but often major authors release the first book in an ongoing series for free for a short time to encourage downloads of their other books.

I just bought it for my Kindle and laptop.
It seems that the title is "A Witch In TIme" rather than "A Witch In Time". That's one of those easy to overlook typos. I don't know if you can fix that on Amazon.
Good luck on your trip.
