My Grandma passed away this morning at 4:20 AM ET surrounded by my aunts and uncle. The next few days are going to be difficult, but I can take comfort that she is no longer in pain. Please keep our family in your thoughts and prayers.

Yes it is, in a way, but then it doesn't help either. Having been there a bit over a year ago I know how it goes, the emotions are all over the place. When things bank up and stuff seems to hang around and every now and then slap you one months later, just try to remember the happy times. I got a lot of gentle support here back then... once I opened up about it, I'm sure you will too.

I dunno if I am sorry to hear that or not. From what you said, she was in a lot of pain and quality of life was nil. I am sorry for you and your loved ones who must deal with the loss, but I am happy for your grandmother. Sounds like she faced the end of life very well.
