I am glad at the reception that 300 Rains is getting. The overall story so far is at 118k words and climbing. It is looking more and more like I am going to pull it at the end and try to sell it, after a bit more revision and stuff. I will have to run it past a few friends who aren't trans to see if the story holds their interest, as that will determine where I try to sell the book. Transitioning Home went over really well with my non-Trans readers so it is trying to get me an Agent but if 300 Rains doesn't do it for them then I guess I might sell it directly to one of the GLBT publishing houses. At least it will be a sale.
After 300 Rains, I don't know what I am going to work on. I guess it depends on several factors. If Transitioning Home gets an Agent then I might stop all writing outside of Whateley and focus directly on writing for publication. That might not be a bad plan overall. I won't drop Whateley, because that series really got my writing where it is today and I am still having fun there. If I stop having fun, who knows.
The two big stories playing in my head right now are very very different from each other. One is The Cost of Blasphemy, which is about a 7yo boy who tells his mom that he is a girl and the fallout. The other is the Tegan O'Brian story that is going crazy in my noggin, which is a Young Adult story about a young girl, a mysterious pendant, Leonardo Da Vinci, Faeries, and a six foot Pooka. So, who knows which story will come first. Maybe both knowing me. Just makes my head hurt thinking about it.
So there you go, a State of the Story address, kinda.
As for Wombat Lust... I just think the combination of words is just neat. Maybe that should be a band name.

What about Ranma? I have maybe three to four chapters left of that story and I am done. So it isn't really on my radar any more.
