Well this is a fine thing.
I can't find my muse anywhere. I must have left it here as this is the last place I saw it, I'm sure. They say it's always in the last place you look and I've looked around plenty, but just can't seem to find it.
So far I have Sunday Girl (tg), A Halloween To Remember (tg), The Return of the Raven (vampire non tg) and Yesterday Once More (tg) that have all ground to a halt, the second after over twenty thousand words.
They all seemed to be going so well and then... Phut!!
I'm completely sunk.
HELP!!!
I don't just look it, but I really am wandering around like a fart in a trance. So please, keep your eyes well peeled and let me know if you see it anywhere.

i dont know if it would help, but you might try going back to some else and see if it shakes something loose. i would love to be a part 3 to "i should have stayed in bed"

There's one way...
There's one sure-fire way to find your muse... Go to the store and get a new one... Odds are good that shortly after you get home, you'll find the original one.
That said, you then might not get much sleep - having to cater to two muses.
Of course, you could try one of the more traditional approaches, such as finding the right editor (what does right mean here? it means one that knows how to cause your muse to come out of hiding - commonly by asking the right questions and teasing her out.)

So damned safe, no-one knows where it is.
I think it's eating muse-li in a muse-eum - which oddly enough is probably where that last joke of mine probably came from.
As far as the other comments thus far are concerned, Kayleigh Way wrote part three of Definitely should have stayed in bed and as for revisiting old haunts of my own - I don't think that's likely as well intentioned as the idea may have been.
Hmm... Two muses? I don't think that's a good idea. Penny would get very pissed off very quickly.
As far as getting my muse back, do you think leaving it a saucer of milk might help coax it this way?

You might come across mine while you're looking. I think it is possible for it be in Dorset since it's nowhere to be seen in Singapore. Mind you, it could be in custody awaiting trial for libel or contempt of court if it had actually inspired any magnum opus during the last eight months and had written something dodgy about the Government here.
So, Nope. It didn't do that and it's just hiding.
If I could locate it I would lend it to the Aussie cricket team, because they definitely need some inspiration. Yours may already be there.
Do you think they could have eloped? Maybe they went to Kansas and are waiting for the next tornado to Oz, so that we can both be bemused again.
Now there's a question. Are you bemused when you find them again? Does it help to live in a mews flat?

My muse went on vacation about 4 years ago and has just returned. I do hope yours didn't get lost on her way home and inhabit my brain by mistake.
Then again, she may just be watching a muse-ical on Broadway.

I'm only joking. Muses are fickle creatures. They come and go without explanation. I can whip out a 15,000 word story chapter in one week, then struggle to put three words together a month later.
