Well... anther chapter of 300 Rains is up and the plot thickens. Poor Geoff. I am so mean to him. But anyway, This was another fun chapter to work on as this is an interesting change of pace with a shrink, not helping you with you transition but helping you cope with your transformation. I bet any shrink would be a bit overwhelmed by that task. :)
There was not a lot of Anthropology in this chapter, but never fear there is still more Anthropological information that has yet to be discussed. There are some interesting challenges ahead fr our good Professor.

Love the series so far
In a way, all people who have to live in and understand and translate between 2 or more cultures need to be a bit of an anthropologist. I was born in the US of an immigrant Chinese family so I had to translate cultural norms and mores and understand both natch to be able live a bicultural life. It is not scientific by any means but it is way different from being your average monocultural person.
Well Geoff will in a sense have to go bicultural now, as he has to now learn the culture of women much more intimately than he would want, silly that as an anthropologist he has not thought about that a bit. I think that may help in taking the edge off of his transition if he took it as a challenge instead of it being a strictly no-win sitch. So now instead of going through the jungles of Brazil or some such, he may have to brave the jungles of a Black Friday sale at Macy's :).

Juggling cultures can be
Juggling cultures can be really tough on someone, as I have experienced. I have had to adapt to German culture and British culture in my travels. I had to work within the diverse mix of Arab American culture, corporate culture, as well as the Army culture. And that is not to mention the culture of women. I think the ability to manage and adapt to multiple cultures is a great skill and serves people very well. People who think they live a monocultural life are sadly deluded.
As for Black Friday... I have over 3 decades of martial arts training and the idea f going there scares me. Just won't willingly subject myself to something that insane on purpose.
