For quite a while, Real Life, in the form of time spent looking for work, and a few other things, got in the way of archiving EAFOAB.
I'm no longer looking for work, but the new job came with a relatively long commute, so my time is still at a premium. I would like to spend it on other stuff, and limit my time at BCTS to reading and editing.
PS, in New Zealand has been, with my thanks, collecting everything from 650 on, in the usual 50 chapter blocks.
I posted a few of them, but recently asked PS to take over the entire Archivist position. PS graciously agreed, and has posted everything up to 900 in the archive.

While I did solve the problem myself, it was based on something Bob had done earlier and I checked with him to be sure I was doing it right. :)

Don't worry, I'm not leaving, and it is nothing traumatic,
Just a number of things being a drain on my time.
The job and commute are just part of it.
I'm also downsizing my possessions somewhat fiercely, in preparation for moving in a few weeks to a few months. I do not know just when, but I need to be prepared, because I may have as little as 17 days notice.
The archive wasn't taking a lot of time.
But it was one of those things, and I was out of 'round tuits'.

Lol Paula, I think you're confusing the West Island (aka Australia) with the North and South Islands of New Zealand.
They're welcome to didgeridoos and hats with bits of cork tied on with string to keep the flies away.
There's no flies on us in Aotearoa (the land of the long white cloud). We're reasonably hi-tech afaik... come to think of it we must be, otherwise I wouldn't be here.

wrong white crowd?
Having lived in NZ, Australia, UK and the US, the comments of being backward down under may surprise a few from the northern hemisphere. The technical competence and uptake of technology is far greater in NZ, than anywhere else i've been, with the probable exception of Japan.
Anyway, for the fellow kiwi's out there, I remember some graffiti on a bridge over one of the motorways, back in the late 80's, where it said that NZ was the land of the wrong white crowd. Your comment set me off to a chuckle.
Unfortunately, given what I've read in the NZ herald over the past few years, I think the wrong crowd was related to the labour party, that gave into the Maori and gave away most of the crown assets. Now I hear they want to change the NZ flag....such a disgrace...
anyway, got to climb off my soapbox, and do some more story editing....

When we cycle toured South Island NZ in 1999 hi-tech communication was the norm and very widely used probably partly because it's so thinly populated. When we visited a Youth Hostel in a small village down a 5/6 mile dead end on the west coast we found that they ordered most of their groceries etc on-line and they were left at the side of the main road for them to pick up. There were also lots of internet cafes to cater for the many tourists.
Definitely not a technological backwater. We had a great time and I experienced the superb glider soaring from Omarama one evening. Even better than we get in the Peak District at home.
