Hired as a man, fired as a woman
I especially loved this quote:
Her boss, Georgia Legislative Counsel Sewell Brumby, saw it differently.
“It makes me think about things I don’t like to think about, particularly at work … I think it’s unsettling to think of someone dressed in women’s clothing with male sexual organs inside that clothing,” said Brumby, in a deposition taken May 11th in U.S. District Court in Atlanta.
And Atlanta is where the Southern Comfort Conference held. During that week, he must very 'unsettled'!

Perhaps...
...total nudity would satisfy him? Or is it her? :D
The Irish Brat
think a lot about people's sex organs do we?
Relax Sugar, they don't bite! How could any woman work for this clown knowing that's his primary focus whenever he looks at someone? Coulda been a gentleman and offered to loaned Ms. Glenn the money for her SRS, if that's his hang up, or in fact her goal.
Be a shame if he gets away with it, firing her for what's clearly HIS issue.
And as far as his concerns over being perceived as being "immoral" for allowing
this woman to do her job, that's just pathetic. Beneath contempt...

This is a joke, isn't it?
This is the land of the free, we're talking about? Or is just freedom for bigots?
Brumby should be ashamed of himself, and I presume he's gay if he's thinking about male sex organs!

Land of the free...
... free to be bigots. Free to put yourself ahead of all others...
Also, free to be compassionate. So, *sighs*... I dunno.
Even if it were a joke, it isn't a good one. One person's idea of a joke is another's idea of sexual harassment. I shared a "joke" that my WIFE shared with me... And got accused by a female co-worker of being insensitive to women. *sighs*

TG women versus men
Speaking as someone who worked for a number of years with a TG girl, it is often the insecurity of the males that causes the problems.
Men in general seem to have a hard time finding themselves attracted to a woman who used to be a man - whether post or pre-op.
I bore witness to many workers eyeing my friend up only to be told that 'she' used to be 'he' and being disgusted with the revelation. In my opinion, it's not because the girl in question used to be a man, but somehow it undermines their conception of their own heterosexuality.
I believe they think that if someone used to be a man, they would spot it, whereas, in my friend's case, this didn't happen. I think it makes them insecure thinking that they fancied someone who used to have meat and two veg and somehow that makes them gay.
I don't just look it, I'm totally evil
Apparently it is so...
Today, during my break time at University, I was in the auditorium, and to flex my legs I started to move them about in a jolly (and IMO feminine-attributed) way. When one of students made a remark about it, I replied like this, calmly and semi-joking:
"If it bothers you so much, something must be wrong with you and not with me."
Three seconds later, after a stunned pause, he asked for an axe. (No, really!)
It never got spiraled further than that, mind you.

Great Priorities...
Loved that line where he worried about the legislators considering it "immoral", "unnatural" or, worst of all, "liberal".

The men who make these sort of comments usually have a
problem with their own sexuality,or lack of it ,and are
trying to justify themselves.
