Sorry if I've been a bit quiet of late, but writing's been on the backburner for the last few months. I'm still doing bits and pieces occasionally, though not to any great intensity. Before being diagnosed wit MS, I used to crossdress two or three times a week, and my social life was pretty much wholly conducted en femme - I was lucky to find a group of friends who accepted, and encouraged my tv life, and in the end I even had friends who'd never met me in male guise. On becoming ill, I was determined to remain independent, and withdrew from my circle of friends. Opportunities to dress socially became few and far between, and eventually I stopped all together. Writing became a way of carrying on vicariously, or so it seemed, but at the beginning of this year I realised that the absence was contributing to my problems with depression.
So, I've begun again, but have had to all but start from the scratch, and relearning those lessons is going to take a few months at least. I'm keeping a blog on my - so far minimal - progress, at http://cerisjourney.spaces.live.com/default.aspx though there's nothing of any great emotional profundity there, it's just a vain tv's shopping journal really.
When I find out how to strike a balance, I'll get back to Stevie and all the other stories I've left hanging - I promise.

Good to know ...
... that you are, at least, finding ways of coping with what must be a frustrating condition at best. Particularly as it's stopped you from doing something obviously so central to your life so far. I find your writings very enjoyable with some interesting insights and I'll be glad to see them resume, hopefully, with their former vigour. In any case you have the honour of the incredible Taffiosi to uphold so beware of Angharad, Alys et al - they may yet take out a contract to write :)
best wishes
Geoff
I've Been Thinking About You Recently
Or more accurately wondering how you are and what you are up to and of course wondering if there will be any more Stevie. Thanks for the note. Hope you find what you need. Looking forward to more Stevie if you reach the place where you create more. Best wishes.
I'm Sure I Can Speak For Others
We've missed you and your stories. I hope you find and/or receive some worthwhile treatment for your illness. and keep on frocking :-)
