Thank you everyone.

We finally did what we were trying hard not to do, and we called my mother in law. She has made it plain that I'm a lazy no good and that she didn't want us to ask her for anything. But we did anyhow. She is giving us the money for the power bill.

I have no clue when it will be here, but hopefully it will be in a day or two.

That leaves us still $200 short of the goal we have. I think with some creative financing we can make it now, but it's robbing Peter to pay Paul.

Man that was a hard call to make. My wife is still broken up about it and the humiliation she just went through. I have nothing to offer her in comfort since the only other avenue would have been to call my father and the exact same scene would have happened, just with a lot more hatred.

Anyhow, many of you have asked to be updated and kept informed, so here it is.
