Well I just received a call from my brother this afternoon (Friday, the 19th). Right now it is wait and see mode. My dad will be let out this Tuesday in time for Christmas. They want to make sure he is regaining his strength before he is released. They will do the biopsy on the liver before he is released.
They have to analyze it to determine what type it is first. We won't know that answer for a week. So, I will be down there from Christmas to New Years. I won't have access to a computer during that time. My parents refused to get involved in that.
My brother is a minister at a small Baptist church in Punta Gorda, Fl. So, he is familiar with it all. My brother and his family will see to mom along with his wife's parents as well. My brother tells me everything should be okay in the time being. If I went down there now, mom would go nuts trying to find something for me to do. But, my mom is like that.
Thank you everybody who has responded to the blog and private letters. They are appreciated. This situation is more closer now. I had a grandmother who passed away with colon cancer some years ago. This is why my mom does not need me there. I know it sounds strange. It was her mom that had it. So, it is the memories of that as well.
I know my dad can live a little longer, but it is day by day we thank God for each day. I love my parents both very much. They have helped me more than I can ask for. Even though they have never met Rachel. They know that they are loved by all of me and the rest of the family members.
Again I want to thank you for all of your prayers and comments. I will give another update when I know more. Hopefully one more before I leave this Wednesday.
Oh by the way. This Saturday night is our company's dinner party. Of course, it is paid for by our CEO. I thankful that he is keeping our company busy. It is Altair Environmental Group. We do have a website that advertise our company. Even we have been hit with the economic slow down. Fortunately in the utility business, you still need us when the pipes break underground, just like with doctors with their patients.
And yes, I am sure some people will get drunk there as well. It usually happens. But it is a good time anyway. Me? I surely don't drink and smoke. We will probably get our Christmas bonus. It should be the same as last year and the years before that. A gift card to Publix or Alberstons for food. Last year's amount was $200. This year? Who knows, but every little bit helps.
Just like my kidney specialist told me. You still need doctors when something is wrong with you. My blood test came out really great, everything normal. My overall chlorestrol is 148, not too bad.
Well, take care everyone. I will be dropping by from time to time to check the Inbox and Blog here for messages. I will respond the best I can with the private letters. Of course I will read up on my favorite stories here. They are very heart warming with warm fuzzies. Thanks.
I am still moving forward to get my story written and posted.
