Blog About:
I have been given a request from someone I often talk to about my issues. They have been looking into things & mentioned a nearby municipal library that has an active transgender section.
I was asked to make out a list of those I know & or desire to have published in a tangible degree.
This library has a huge children following, so be aware of that.
Is there any authors here, that would like me to put on the list, whom have books available which would be appropriate for a library of this stature?
I am sure & if the individuls I mention outright could give me approval with choices, they would like me to put on the list; daring diane, melanie brown, maddie belle, Jenny walker, Zoey Taylor, Taylor Galen Kadee, Tiffany Shar, Tanya Allen, Susan Brown, Amethyst, leslie moore, Jennifer sue & alecia snowfall.
Any others are welcome.
I do NOT think 'smut' centered literature, would be appropriate, especially because of kids accidentally getting easy access to it.
This city, has high tourism & has apparently featured many visitations by some celebrities from the USA.
Erin, please let me know if it is ok, to promote the site to them, in hopes of notoriety & possible linked promotions etc that could potentially extend through them.
I am very very very serious about this.
What has been requested is active works, as I did verbally mention to her things such as frills, the gaby series by maddie belle, the various minor' friendly chronicals by daring diane, a couple works by susan & melanie brown, Tanya allen, jenny walker & several others, to which she, whom is cisgender took a look at & was enthralled at such works she never knew existed & by her own declaration should be more available then just kindle.
She wanted works particularily that have been published within the last 1-2 years. Chronicles with previous works that have new submissions do count.
The city, is Barrie Ontario here in Canada & during summer has a high degree of tourism from the states & even the UK. Also especially because of a festival that last a couple of weeks lots of other Canadians as well.
I hope this can help others, here, the site itself etc.
Please let me know here & or in private message.
I can only tether my phone sometimes as I live rurally & the weather can interfere with my connection even with that, especially latelly with freezing raine, blizzards & 'snow squalls'. So please forgive me if I do not get back to you quickly.
Thank you all!

I'd offer up "Quest for the Silver Cleric"
but its only available on Amazon Kindle.
Two paperback publications from Doppler Press
Kelly Girl by Wanda Cunningham
and
Blue Moon by Donna Lamb
Both should be suitable for kids.

Erin

Blue Moon
Don't know that I'd consider that child friendly. PG15 maybe, but certainly no less.

Suddenly Royal is my only publication that is truly within your timeframe, but it certainly is clean. No problems suggesting my works. I don't have print editions available for most of my works just because I discovered they didn't sell much, and they were exorbitantly expensive for POD in my opinion.
Good luck with your attempts here!
Well
You mentioned Gaby above, all the series are available in dead tree format including the spin off fanfics, something like 34 titles!
The Nena and Trixiebell series might also fit the bill for a mid teen upward audience, of course some of my other titles might fit too, Peaches for example but whilst there is little pg content in any of my books the actual subject matter may not be appropriate for younger audiences.
Please keep us informed on how this all goes

Happy to have my stories included.
Most of my stories are fine for younger readers.
Many of my stories are only presently available in ebook format. It would take a little time, but I could convert the rest into the aforementioned dead tree format. The books I prepared as paperbacks sold very few copies as opposed to the online sales. I was considering trying to get some of them into regular stores or local libraries with appropriate sections.
Does the use of the amazon isbn versus a private owned one limit the ability to sell in stores or have it in libraries?

My ebooks are available to libraries on Smashwords
Smashwords for Libraries
Smashwords proudly supports libraries, and we're working to make our ebooks available to every library in the world.
Libraries have two options for acquiring Smashwords titles:
Library aggregators - Smashwords distributes its books through OverDrive, Baker & Taylor's Axis360, Odilo and Gardners (Askews & Holts and Browns Books for Students). Other leading aggregators now in the works.
Smashwords Library Direct - If your library operates its own ebook checkout platform under the Douglas County Model, you can establish a large opening catalog by purchasing directly from Smashwords. For several years Smashwords has been supplying Califa's Enki under this model. The average price of Smashwords titles is under $4.00. We'll help you select a large opening catalog leveraging our first-hand knowledge of what's selling at our major retailers. Minimum order: $20,000. Los Gatos library
I grew up in Los Gatos (March 1954 - January 1972) so I'm always happy to see it mentioned. The current library isn't the one I grew up with. I started with the old Carnegie library on University Avenue, near East Main St. They built a new library when I was a child, but I think it has since been replaced. I'm glad to see they are partnering with Smashwords to allow writers to self-publish. And, I had no idea that Smashwords was in Los Gatos, too.
I'd be happy...
...for all 85 books to be included (The German and French ones may not be appropriate) ...although not all my books would be suitable for children.
Bear in mind that not all are TG books.

Works like her Bobby's Rainy Day Adventure
seem like they would be a natural for such a library
if they were in book format, and if she'd agree + it was doable...

Oh wow!
I'd be happy to have any of my stories show up in that library! Maybe Shoes/Brianna's Big Brother might work for them as well? There's a couple of characters in that story who cross over from Bobby's Rainy Day Adventure.
Unfortunately, I haven't tried putting any of them in book format, and I really don't know where I'd start. But ... if they're really interested in any of my stories, I'd be willing to give putting them in book format a try.
What If
A published book by Monique is one that must be considered. I noticed it is also listed on Doppler Press. The story begins in what could be called the lands of the gods, and the cradle of mankind, the Mediterranean. If one was to believe the gods never truly left, this would be the place to look for them.
Monique did an intricate weaving of what may or may not be ancient legends and modern times to write a fascinating story.

I'd love to be included
At present I've only published though Amazon. My amazon.ca author page is:

If anyone has any thoughts on anywhere better I could go to publish, I'd be glad of the input. I'm base in the UK by the way.
I would like to be included
Greetings,
I would like for my Dopplerpress books (Jo Dora Webster) to be included if possible which I feel are child friendly, Pretty Please No Foolin' and Space Force Enterprise.
I also have two books self published under my legal name, Ariel Montine Strickland, published on Doppler Press but are not part of Kindle Unlimited, New Meaning of Sugar and Spice and Mustard Seed.

Here are some books you should consider
The very first thing I would recommend for young children reading material are the works of Sophie Labelle. She is not on BCTS. Most of her stories are cartoons oriented towards young children. And unfortunately I don't know where she is currently selling her books from.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sophie_Labelle
I don't know what is available in dead tree format but here are some stories I believe are suitable for children or young adults. Furthermore, the library could post a suggested reading list for kid frindly stoiries available to read on this site. For that matter, if someone wants to do the work a list of kid friendly stories could be posted on this site.
My memory sucks and this is a large list so I definitley would like second opinions on what is age appropriate.
Angela Rasch - Peaches. (young adult)
Anistasia Allread - Camp Kumoni; The Princess and the Plague
Dawn Natalie - A second chance.
Elsbeth - Freyja's Daughter's; Harry Potter - Season of Change; The Lost Queen (young adult)
JessicaC - A Change of Summer Camps
Karen Bishop - Many of her stories on Kindle (young adult)
Katie Leone - She wrote some absolutely awesome children's books that are available on Kindle. (Be warned, she also wrote many books that are horrifically NOT child friendly).
Lilith Langtree - Either Do it Right or Don't Do It at All (young adult)
Little Becky Anne - Change Order (young adult)
Littlerocksilver - A California Saga; The Cynthia Chronicles (this would either be young adult or not suitable. I don't remember. Can someone give a second opinion)
Melanie Brown - I'm With The Band (middle school); The Reluctant Girl books (young adult)
Nuuan - Coyote; Kelly's Story A Whateley Tale; Necessity is the mother of Invention (young adult)
Penny Lane - Somewhere Else Entirely; What Milsey Did (young adult)
Persephone - Cassandra (young adult)
QModo - The Bliss (young adult)
Rebecca Jane - Better Than The Alternative (young adult)
Shiraz - Tamara's Tales (the eariler stories - young adult)
Sleethr - Whisper (young adult)
Susan Brown - Football Girl
Teek - Cindy at Music Camp
Wendy Coomber - A Different Key
Zoe Taylor - Becoming Robin; Magic of the Kingdom
It sounds good...
especially since I live in Ontario as well. The only books that I have in book format is the I Wish series though, and it's only available through kindle via Doppler Press.
*big hugs*
Amethyst
Don't take me too seriously. I'm just kitten around. :3
Add me
You can add me to the list. How does it work? Do they rummage through your catalog or do you submit stories you think they'd want?
