It's about 1500 to 2000 words longer, and involves more world building.
Far better than the original.

Thanks! I'll probably wait for the second or third chapter before jumping in, because then I'll have something cogent to say.
I'll get a life when it's proven and substantiated to be better than what I'm currently experiencing.
Doom valley
I think you should post it as a new story so the comments are separate call it doom valley prep (reworked) or something. That would also mean the story would show up on the home page.

Thought about it overnight, looked at the numbers, and I just posted it as a new story.
Lets see what people think.

As mentioned (or at least implied) new readers will find it easier to find your story.
Besides, it gives us a second chance to give the story a Kudos click. Possibly that will give you an indication of how your rewrite is appreciated.
Reworked
I think rewrite sounds better since it’s also in the first paragraph, but that’s up too you. You forgot to use your author tag so it shows up with the rest of your stories. It’s nice that it shows on the title page now makes it more likely you will get new readers. Don’t forgot to make a title page when you post the next chapter so they are connected.
