I offered what I thought was some positive criticism to an author via a private message and not in a comment. They replied and blocked me.
I won't be reading any more of their stories. It is just not worth the angst.
I'll refrain from mentioning their name so don't ask but I won't block them.

I know that you are a seasoned internet denizen and have been around that block a few times. Still I want to use this opportunity to reiterate how easy it is to assume the worst interpretation when reading electronic communications. Brevity is easy to misinterpret as aggression. Rarely is it the intention of someone to cause harm.
I'm sorry that this exchange occurred. And it is not my place to put words in any one's mouths. Still It might be worth reviewing both sides of the exchange to see if there is any room for charity where you are not seeing it now.

Someone commented recently they found they had blocked someone when they hadn't. Erin commented it may have been a glitch at the moment.
Samantha, my pet, you of all people should never assume anything when it comes to the either and computers. Your punishment may seem extreme to you but it's for your own good. The polyester green shirtwaist dress you wore to the EE Dinner last month. Don't try evade the question and tell everyone it was Elementary Education Meeting. Among all those dirty ol men, Electrical Engineers, it seems a gorgeous beauty turned a lot of heads. Loan me the dress.
Hugs Samantha

Meh, it happens sometimes
It is why there are so few comments from me :( Everyone is on tenterhooks and they have such short fuses, I barely even try any more. It is depressing to an extrovert like me /sigh
