I've finally managed to get the emotional help I need to kick the abusive asshole out of my life (I was doing the usual abused person thing of circling back to their abuser, hoping they will be better...). But as my housing was with him, I'm needing to find a place again. I'm sick and tired of depending on other people for my housing stability, so I am looking for a place for just me.

Well, I did find a place! I interviewed with the landlord this evening, and it is absolutely perfect! It is a fully furnished, fully wheelchair accessible studio that is 2 blocks from a major subway station in Brooklyn. I would move out of New York City, but my disabilities make moving extremely difficult in general, much less out of the area.

The deposit for this place is one month's rent, which is $1,575. I can afford this every month completely on my own, but I have spent every cent of my savings on this stupid hotel to get out of that house. Erin and the rest of the team are working on very tiny wallets right now too, so I'm asking for y'alls help, hopefully for the very last time. I've made my budget, and I know I can pull my own weight, I just need the opportunity to do so.
