As a 60 year old woman......
Who luckily doesn’t look quite as old as I truly am, I love my skinny jeans. I have damned nice legs, and they look fantastic in skinny jeans - and I love embroidered jeans too.
As for heels...... as far as I am concerned you wear what you like if it looks good on you. And yes, that includes 4 and 5 inch heels or wedges.
You go girl. Where ‘em if you want.

I don't know about skinny jeans
I don't have any, but do have two pair of leggings, one ankle length and another Capri length.
I wear both of them. If you can wear heels, more power to you. I lost the ability to wear anything higher than about 1 1/2 inches about turn of the century. Though personally, and it is a personal opinion, I've never cared for the look of platform heels. I can see 4, 5 or maybe 6 inch stiletto heels if you can tolerate them. Though most guys call them CFM heel, so you may want to you may want to consider the message they think they're getting. ;o)

If you look to hollywood lots of older women wear just that..
/facepalm on the heels.
On the other hand if your figure is not that great wearing skin tight jeans may not be a good idea.
confidence and character
Confidence will allow you to get away with all kinds of things. Including murder, skinny jeans and embroidery. Some people will always find nasty things to say. It's up to you how much that matters. While about half of why we dress is for others to see and appreciate the other half is for ourselves. If you like what you see in the mirror then you go for it.
In my opinion your question about heels is more about physics and structural engineering: centers of mass, moments of inertia and so on. More altitude equals more velocity on impact. and complex interactions If you have the muscle tone and experience to wrangle them, and an arm to lean on if you need it then I'd say go for it. Venue permitting.
Now all I have to do is learn to take my own advice.

Heels and platforms
A 6 inch heel with a 1.5 inch platform has an effective 4.5 inch arch. The same as a 4.5 inch single sole heel. So theoretically it puts the same strain on the foot and ankle. But in practice I have found that platforms add instability. First, platforms make it harder to sense the ground, and throw off the bodies perception of the foot position. Second, through the law of levers, any unevenness on the ground is amplified sideways to the ankles. This increases the risk of spraining or even breaking the ankle and/or leg.
The multitude of fail videos on the net of stars, starlets and models toppling of their platforms is a case in point.
