Sometimes as an author you write a line that is just perfect. The type of line that tears at the reader's heartstrings. The type of line that makes a perfect last line of a chapter, that will have all the readers mad at you for ending there.

I just wrote a line like that. I hadn't put any chapters yet in this story that I am writing, but after writing this line, I will. You will all hate me when you read it, but . . . You will tune in to the next chapter after reading it.

I guess this is my announcement that I am writing a new story. I am on page 19. Hopefully I will post the first chapter in the next week or two.

Completed?

Will the story be completed when you post the first chapter?

I ended a couple posts of "A Bikini Beach Summer" on cliff-hanger lines.

Here's a line that I have no idea where to place: "I realized that not only was Daddy alive, but that I was Daddy."

Not sure

Sometimes I have a story done before posting, but usually not. I do have a few rules about posting though.
1) I must be far enough along and have a vision for a direction and path to an end
2) I must have several chapters done before posting 1st chapter
3) I think someone will actually want to read the story
4) My main character(s) are believable in the roles I have put them into.
5) I have done at least one major edit.

With this story, I have not yet achieved all 5 above, so I can't post anything yet. My biggest challenge is that I started writing with an idea, went with it, and the story went places I never expected. I have a direction the story is going, but I haven't figured out an end target. Without that I am hesitant to post anything.
