Having just finished what is posted by TLBS, I am left wondering. WHAT THE HECK EVER HAPPENED TO THE LAST BOY SCOUT???

There were vague promises and intents to continue his writing, but nothing now for 9 years!!

Is TLBS still alive? If so, where is he/she? Why did he/she stop writing?

TLBS was a master/Mistress of the written word who sucked the readers into her worlds and made them CARE about her characters and their lives.

How about it folks? Where is TLBS? We have some really good amateur detectives out there I know, so here's a mystery for them to work on.

FIND TLBS!

The General's Daughter

I read this very long story, (Almost 42,000 words) and it was riveting and just lovely.

After digging around, it seems like he may no longer be with us. :(

Something to think about

TLBS may have left for a reason and not want to be found. I think it's up to TLBS if they want to be found. I find it invasive that you should suggest looking for an individual to satisfy your own curiosity or desire. This may no longer be part of their life and they may not want to be found. In fact it may be harmful to do so. So I would think twice about what you are asking. Simply let it be known it would be nice if they return and leave it at that. Several authors have reappeared after long absences both here and on FM but they did so of their own accord.

Overdramatic a bit?

No one is suggesting hiring a PI to hunt them down and force them to post new stories, good grief.

No

The drama is in Ms. Thomas's post. I'm merely injecting a note of caution. This isn't a game, not when an individual's privacy might be at stake. Say someone finds another email address and sends a note about how much they loved their stories on Big Closet. Only it's a work address and their employer finds out. Work emails aren't privileged. Maybe it wouldn't be a problem but maybe it could cost them their job. It's happened before. So no, I'm not being overdramatic.

I'm not sure but ...

... I edited his last story "Cometh the hour cometh the woman" (I had to look at my records to remember it!) way back in 2012. I can't believe it's 7 years ago. I seem to remember he said he was going to be published commercially and so wouldn't be writing fiction for sites like this one. He also got a promotion at work which was going to tke up time.

Well,

Well, that's hopeful, at least.
