Hey, I'm Sunset, and I've been lurking here for a very, very long time. Well over a decade. I'm surprised it's taken me this long to create an account here, and I kinda feel bad about it. It's funny... I've been reading stories here for several years before I accepted I was trans, and now I'm half a decade post transition... um, nice to finally met y'all, I guess.

Well, I'm looking for a I read a couple of years ago to link to a friend of mine who's been looking for some wholesome TG fiction. I've tried searching for everything I can remember about the story, but I just can't find it.

I remember it started with the main character, who was about 11-13 or so, would secretly crossdress when her parents were out and would specifically dress as a much younger girl, around 8 or so. At some point, her parents started talking about how her mom really wanted a daughter but couldn't have any more children, and they asked her if she'd like to make her mother's dreams come true by dressing as a princess for Halloween, and since Halloween is a month away, dress as a girl at home every day until then. She takes up the offer and does exactly that, enjoying it a lot and wearing party dresses all the time. Eventually, the big day comes, and they have a huge party, and it's the happiest day of her life.

And then after that, her parents put all her girl stuff in storage, and she has to go back living as a boy. She became miserable and depressed for several months, until half a year later when her parents finally asked what she wants, and she belts out "I want to be a girl!". At that point, they realize that things were a lot more serious then they thought, and they take her to therapy and start her transition. They also mention that they knew about her "secret" crossdressing, and part of the reason they offered her the deal was because they knew she'd like it. The next few chapters deal with her transitioning and starting HRT. At first she was dismayed by having to give up dressing like a much younger girl and dress her age instead, and then she discovers the clothes teenagers have and falls in love.

I can't remember the title, I can't remember the author, and searching for what I remember about the story hasn't turned up anything, so I'm finally creating an account so I can ask about it. Can anyone help me find it? Thank you so much!
