Love the piccies.
especially the Mills. Tower Mills are a particular favourite of mine. Sadly we only get Post Mills around here.
Nice to see our heroine in the flesh so to speak.
I wonder how many will 'get' your pun in the title of your post?
Samantha
there's a pun?
Post mills are like ultra rare although I did take Gaby to one yesterday - only the third in @ 120 mills visited since last August. 14 mills visited yesterday and only one in sail.

Sails or rather the lack of them...
I was wondering how many readers would understand that the bits of a windmill that make it go around are the sails just like those of a sailing ship (they were sometimes made by sailmakers).
Maddy, have you not visited 'Jack and Jill' yet? (aka the Windmills just to the north of Brighton). They are post mills and they are up a hill, or what apologises for a hill in these parts (sic)

I
always keep an eye out on my travels and even I have heard of that pair! Not been to Brighton since about 1974, full of weirdos!
Hopefully will pick up a couple in Germany next week

I'll join you in that dance!
Woo! Congratulations, if you haven't already, I guess you'll be heading off to see the descendant very soon.
Thanks for the cool pics too.
PS must have ridden past Anderby Creek, on way to Sandilands.
River Witham trail, Bardney / Southrey to Boston area isn't bad. I'd definitely get on it at Southrey though.

"Reach for the sun."
one of my projects
is a guide to the whole length of the Witham from source to sea so to speak!
Sort of feel like an adult now
