Well, CT scan of my lung results aren't great. :(
starting at the bottom like the respirologist did:
bottom 15% of my lungs have 20% of the bronchiolae burst, meaning zero oxygen to blood / co2 to lung exchange in there.
mid section of my lungs are 5% burst bronchiolae
top 33% of my lungs is 100% burst bronchiolae.
no wonder I can barely walk across the street. :/

not likely
not any time soon at least. I know someone who lost all but 20% of one lung to cancer and no transplant option for her.

surprisingly, my blood oxygen level is still 95%, oxygen is only prescribed when that drops below 85%.
my long distance running and bike riding habit as a teenager has had one benefit, a very well developed cardiovascular and respiratory exchange system. Even with my lung damage I'm generally doing fine.

How did you get the Lung Damage?
Most of the time there is an external cause of Lung Damage; Smoking, Environmental Pollution, Injury, Accidents, etc...
Or its caused by a disease or medical condition Like COPD.
Heck if you are into Dragon Ball, The voice actor for the villain Freeza has stated a go fund me page to save up $50k USD, since he is in the final stages of COPD and in desperate need of a Lung Transplant himself.
