There's an author here (who shall remain nameless to spare them embarrassment) whose stories I really like and have downloaded so I can read them any time. Often, after reading one of their stories, I have this urge to post or PM them or comment on one of their stories and say "I wanna have your baby!"

I feel really bubbly when I feel this way, but I'm also kind of weirded out by it. I mean, I'm a 64-year-old pre-op trans woman, so, to put it mildly, for me to have anyone's baby is kind of out of the question. (Well, maybe an ectopic pregnancy.) And it sounds like something a teen-age girl caught up in some fan frenzy (Beatlemania, anyone?) might say, not someone of an age and, well, whatever, that should have more gravitas. (Well, weight-wise, I do :-( )

Has anyone else ever felt/reacted this way?

Or am I truly ready for the rubber room?

Crazy is good

One needs to be crazy to be able to live a happy life. I speak from experience. I was born on April First and NO ONE has ever said I'm normal. Crazy is good!

Boys will be girls... if they're lucky!

April First

April First is a very good day to have your birthday. I also enjoy it every year. ;-)
(and all through the year it is a perfect 'excuse' to be just as you are... )

Believe it

I think many many of the authors here put their heart and soul into their stories. After reading the stories, I or you get a type of view into the author's mind. Some of the glimpses are sweet, some are working through feelings, some are "different", and several are pure genius. There are all sorts of combinations so the stories and authors appeal to a varied group. I can't see how someone would not have some sort of feelings about an author that grabs their emotions in a favorable manner.

Not Sure...

It's actually nice to retain (or return to) child-like, tween-like, teen-like excitement about things. It's nice to squee over a good author, or something you've just learned in physics or astronomy (or anywhere in science). It's good to avoid feeling bored over things.

But then it's good that you're weirded out about wanting to write something like having the author's baby.

Nuts ?

Welcome to the club. I'm so nuts, I have to watch out for squirrels this time of year. Of course, it'd have to be a BIG squirrel !

Maybe not having their baby

I'm sure offering an intense night would make them happy ;)

Kidding aside I'm sure whoever it is would be ecstatic to know their work inspires such intense emotion. I think a lot of writers here are sharing a vulnerable side of themselves when they post a story and the knowledge that their work is so appreciated would be uplifting.

At least it would be for me. LOL

Hugs!
