I have noticed that I became a member here a year and a week ago, which for some is probably 53 weeks too long. I have frequented this site for a few years but previously as a reader, particularly attracted by Wanda's 'Kelly Girl', which I still consider one of the best stories here. In those days I was just an occasional reader.

Since then I've posted more than four hundred episodes of stories* and currently have four serials on the go, five if I include the Sugar Puffs I like for breakfast and which Bonzi occasionally shares.

Last night I posted the two hundred and fiftieth episode of Falling Off A Bike. I accept there are more popular authors and stories, and certainly better writers than I am. I have no pretensions or delusions, however, I seem to have stamina and those six or seven hundred regular readers who seem to enjoy my stories may be interested to learn that I have no plans to stop scribbling just yet. I have no idea what size Falling is other than probably getting on for a thousand pages in dead tree format. You may be relieved to learn I have no plans to publish it as such.

How it's kept going I don't know, but I start off reading the previous episode and watch and listen to the characters in my head. Bonzi gives me the odd idea, actually they are usually very odd indeed, so I don't use them too often.

So on the occasion of my first anniversary here as an author of one or two pieces, I thank you the readers for your support and encouragement in your votes and comments. Please keep them coming and I shall try to keep, Cathy, Charlotte and one or two other stories going too.

All the serials I have running will be concluded.

Happy Anniversary.

Hugs,

Angharad.

Well, ha!

And happy anniversary! Glad to hear you've no intention of putting down the pen!

Any writer could say there are better writers, but you're not only consistent, you're also coherent, engaging, funny, and literate.

Plus, you have that whole mysterious Cymru-nian aura...

Onward! Keep falling off that bike!

And if you conclude one series, make sure you kick off another!

Hugs and all that,

Kaleigh

I could only wish...

...to have half as many loyal fans when I get to MY one year annversary here. Hey, there's an idea learn to write at least half as well!

I'm happy to count myself among your "six to seven hundred" fans though. Any chance on hearing Charlotte sing some more soon? :-)

Thanks for writing for us (or writing for yourself, and sharing with us). Every now and again, you've had episodes in Cathy's saga that have hit home really hard. I thank you for this. Your writing has also generated some "interesting" conversations. :-)
And, no, I don't agree that they're better than your story. Just different.

Annette

Angharad, You Are Most Definitely

A writer. I have truly enjoyed your stories and I hope that you post your Gaby stories here as well.

and not just that but quality writing as well.As one of your 500 or 600 fans (a number some would argue that is grossly under estimated)how do I say thanks for the hours of enjoyment I've received from reading your work, I keep commenting and voting! Thanks for taking the time and effort to bring these storys here so people can enjoy them.Amy

Congradfs and sure you're Welsh, that's just ...

some secret code you send to your loyal minions. How many box tops of Sugar Puffs do I need to send in to get the necessary super secret Bonzi decoder ring?

The trees are very happy you intend AEAFOAB to remain a e-book and not a paper one.

I miss Jamie and her lion friends, SNAFU and Charlot's Tale were the first things of yours I read and I like them still.

PS. Karen_J LOVES puns, please write lots more.

P.S.S -- Karen, must type fast before they sneak up on me again. My cats told me to say you like puns. I know you hate puns with a passion but you haven't seen the look in their eyes! I have no choice but to obey my furry master and mistress. Don't hit me!--

John in Wauwatosa

I know better

Quit trying to blame the cats, John. They were no doubt trying to warn you of the folly of your present course. Repent, sinner!

Now, go read a Gaby Fanfic! :-)

Happy Anniversary, Dear Friend

Or do you prefer Auntie A? I don't think we've ever discussed that point.

Anyway, let me add mine to the voices proclaiming that you are indeed a good, coherent, and very fun writer. And you're not too shabby in the proofreading department either :)

Jillian
