Every now and them I go to the "My Stories" link and see if there are any new comments on any of my stories. I haven't put out a new story for years, so I don't expect any comments or activity on my stories. Surprisingly there was one new comment on a story. More surprisingly though is that one of my stories have reached over 10,000 views.
My solo story, Mom, How Could She? is about a summer camp kid upset over what mom packed her for summer camp and during her rant she gets another camper involved. Together in the course of maybe 15 minutes (the total length of the story) they find a new truth to their world, "They are not alone in the world with their uniqueness."
Of course with a solo story you have no idea how many people really liked the story or just clicked to explore and never got beyond the first paragraph. I like to think that over half enjoyed the read, even if only a very small percentage clicked the like button. Thank you those that did hit the Kudos button. Thank you those that read the story and commented. I have to even give thanks to those that didn't like the story, for your click on the story and looking at it is what has brought me to such a high number of views.
Keep Smiling, Keep Reading
