I just started watching this TV series called Becoming Us. It about this family and their journey as the father transitions from Charlie to Carly. It's really good and I recommend it!

both of the teens "fathers" are trans, one has been out to family for many years, but not very far along, Carly is more recent and is further along, in the second episode, Carly helps the other with some intimate wear shopping, etc

I'm binge-watching it...
...as I write this, thanks to my cable company (if your cable company provides free on-demand, use it!), and I love it so far. Unlike the various documentaries I've seen over the years, this series deeply explores the effect of these individuals' transitions on the lives of those around them, and in an unflinchingly realistic way. I've alternated between empathizing with Carly's teenage son and wanting to smack him upside the head. He ought to be glad he has two parents who are alive, well, and there for him.
