I came across an article online today that I thought I'd share.

It's an interesting view point about how cis-women feel about trans-women and the authors own take on it.

I think I've said

much of this on various blogs here, including posting one on the difficulties black transgender women have.

Some CIS women

Putting people in boxes of uniformity seldom works. While I am not thrilled with the Mormons right now, I see about 100 of them every Sunday, so we could assume that at least 50% or more are women, likely most of them CIS women.

None of them have had an unkind thing to say to me in 4 years, so they are either very adept at hiding their feelings or what ever. Those familiar with Mormon culture will know that my having two "callings" is significant, so they must trust me, and like me.

Having said all that, please do not be too swift to think that CIS women hate you. Remember, as a matter of fact, you do own your place in the world.

One of the speakers

at the happy tranny day I blogged about gave the anecdote of being on a train on the New York subway and it was a cold winter's day. She was wearing a greatcoat and carrying a heavy backpack when she noticed some Indian woman watching her. The woman seemed to be really examining her and she thought. 'Look out she's going to say something.'

The woman looked at her again and stood up and did speak. 'That bag looks very heavy, would you like to have my seat?'

The speaker said she was getting ready for prejudice and found kindness thereby showing that perhaps she was carrying her own prejudice in expecting an attack. She said she would endeavour to think differently in future.
