So the other day I was talking the GM of my McDonald's I am a shift manager at the McDonald's that I work in. I was pointing out that the toys that we have at this time are the most split that we have ever had. ((Skylanders//My little pet shop.)) They are the most that I have seen girls asking for the boy's toy and boy's asking for the girl's toy granted in some ways these toys are gender neutral though little pet shop is geared to girls boys little animals as well. And skylanders is for both boys and girls.
He said to me that their parents should beat them for wanting the other toy. After all what parent would let their son have a pink toy...
I liked the fact that I was seeing a little less of the strict gender lines with these toys and he had to say that. Then again they know I am a brony which is why I was shocked that he said that about these toys.

Brony (noun, pl "bronies", from "bro" + "pony") - Teenage or adult fan of the animated show "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic".
Personally, I haven't actually seen the show myself, but several of my friends are bronies and it's become popular enough in geek culture nowadays that I can recognize characters and most references. In fairness, I was at the same point with "Dr. Who" before my wife started watching it (and started making me watch the scarier episodes with her).

MLP is pretty awesome, i highly recommend watching at least the first season ( and i dare you to try *only* watching the first lol)

At least one of the self-identified Bronies I know is female. The term generally assumes male, but it's not necessarily exclusive.

I keep thinking of My Pet Shop when most people seem to indicate it's "My Little Pony". One is totally different and you could almost give a little ribbing to both sexes for being into "My Little Pet Shop". "My Little Pony" is another matter entirely as it's not a terrible show.
I like Twilight actually.
