I've read this since the first episode and frankly don't know how you've done it. A very enjoyable saga.
I've been glad to see that you don't feel obligated to produce one every day any more. I'd also like to say that I like your non-Bike writing and would like to see more of that.

It may sound pretentious or shallow (I'm not sure if both apply) but I print off your efforts every day (nearly). Then read it as a way of slowing down & directing my thoughts before sleep. I believe I could adapt, but I'm not inclined to. Above all it is your life and if this writing is important to you write on, if it is a drudge or a tiresome chore stop & thanks for the memories. But if it brings you pleasure as well as me & countless others ; then by all means write on. Love Brian

... and counting! Words, that is. I remain utterly fascinated that you can keep this gravity-defying novel... um... defying gravity. And that's what it is, a giant novel, written on a single timeline with characters you've brought to life, made lovable, and addicted nearly a generation of readers to. Okay, hyperbole.

… because Bike acts like catnip on me.
Checking health risks by Google I found, "While catnip serves no real purpose other than allowing an owner to watch his or her cat go bonkers, there is no evidence that it causes harms to cats. If your pet is a little too sedate, toss it some catnip and liven things up."
I do hope that while you feel able you keep Cathy, her family, friends and even favoured enemies peddling/pedalling their wares across BC's pages.

My day is incomplete without my Daily Dormouse. On those days that you are unable to write the latest installment, I feel terribly disappointed. I'm sorta like a little kid on Christmas eve. I can't wait for the next day. Then I can't stop checking BC/TS, frustrated until electronic magic occurs and Easy as Falling of a Bike pops up, and I can assuage my addiction to the further exploits of the southern sept of Clan Cameron.

If it pleases you to continue writing " BIKE", then by all means do so and I will wait with baited breath daily to pay homage to your suburb saga. If you wish to write less frequently - do so - it is entirely up to you. You have contributed so much to so many of us that to ask for more would seem to be an expression of greed on our part. So long as you will write - I will shamelessly enjoy the fruit of your labours.

the cats and I have decided as there were marginally more in favour of continuing and assuming Auntie Erin lets us fill up some more of her server space, we'll keep Bike going for a while longer. I ask this every hundred or so episodes because I feel it useful to have a mandate for Bike in case others consider it takes up too much room on the front page or on the servers.
I may be mistaken, but I feel that after seven years of nearly daily posting, it's actually become a feature of BC although I'm aware only a proportion of users read it but seemingly those who do are very attached to it. Not bad for an experiment I thought might last four or five episodes.
