Well, pink pajamas has probably run its course and I've managed to piss a few people off, but when don't I piss people off. I got a nice message saying how someone will never read anything I ever write and I think someone has a voodoo doll and has been stabbing my keyboard.
Anyway. I have a question about tags. This came up because of an older story ( http://bigclosetr.us/topshelf/fiction/31763/aunt-roes-last-d... )before the tag even existed. But, if I know a work is going to produce a negative emotional response (like crying, and yes, I knew people would cry over P.P.) should I mark it non-work safe. I was under the impression that the NSFW was a tag you put on erotic pieces and I would hate for people to think that Pink Pajamas was smut. I know I pull on the heart strings, that's why so many people have me on their ignore list, but how should I tag it. Should I put a big "This'll make you cry" tag on some work. Discuss.

NSFW is for erotica, not a strong case of da feels.
Bailey and a few others tend to use a custom "tissue alert" tag, which would probably be the best choice. Or, you know, you could always just expect your readers to be familiar enough with your work to know better than to read it in a place they would be embarrassed to be caught. If you're reading this kind of literature at work and don't want to be caught, there's nobody who is responsible for the outcome but you.

this NSFW is confusing to me,
this NSFW is confusing to me, the rating makes sense, what confuses me is why are people slacking off at work.
every job i ever had (on disability now) i rarely had time to stop to go to the toilet, employers don't pay employees to read stories, so if your reading NSFW or a disney story at work, i'd consider you not doing your job a sackable offence.
i suspect i'll get flamed but i will state i left every job by MY CHOICE, never sacked or coerced into leaving and proud of it.

Not flaming, simply pointing
Not flaming, simply pointing out that many people in office jobs eat at their desk, and during that hour, are free to read or whatever, as long as its not disturbing anyone else.
Not pulling up something when you are not expecting it to be potentially offensive is the reason for the NSFW tag.
but yes, as a general rule, you have to watch out for abusing the privledge.

FWIW, some people have been tagging their more emotional stories or chapters with "tissue alert".

Absolutely everything will piss somebody off That is just the way it is. Also remember that a lot of people like your work.
As for tags I would go with "tissue alert" for sad stuff there at several authors here using that. "This'll make you cry" also works.
