It seems my muse has doomed me to write continuations of other peoples work. A couple of decades ago, there were lots of authors with their own websites. I was one of them, as was Bea. Bea was a prolific author and hosted a series of websites to display her work. The most recent is, “Bea’s TV Station”, which is still up.
The site I remember most is "Bea's Trolley" It was on this site that I first read any of Bea's work. One of the stories there, was "All in the Cards." the tale of a man who agreed to marry a lesbian to help her satisfy her wealthy family's demand that she end that lifestyle and become respectable. She's a bit submissive, but he is more so. An imperfect marriage at best. Each have their own reason to stay in the marriage, but love isn't one of them.
I felt that Bea left too much of the story untold at the end. So I wrote a sequel I titled "A Better Hand," which Bea posted on that site. For what ever reason, that site went down. Bea subsequently opened another site. It was a few years later that I noticed the site was down. I communicated with her and asked about the story. She hadn't backed up the webpage nor even saved a copy of my story. What's more so much had gone on that she really had no recollection of my story. I can't fault her. I likewise lost the story when I upgraded my computer.
At any rate; I wanted to write it again. The problem is, Bea's story,, "All in the Cards" is now part of an anthology titled "Men in Petticoats" and is published on Amazon. I'd still like to post my sequel here, but I'd like a beta reader to look it over.
To that end, if you've read "All in the Cards" or "Men in Petticoats" would you be willing to read what I've got before it's posted?
