Once the current Roberta Galbraith story has finished, I will start posting a novel that I have written. It is almost complete and is currently more than 170,000 words long.
I have 4-5 chapters to write. I'm off to France for a week on 1st Aug. I'm heading down to the Ardeche region and have rented a Gite for a week. I hope to finish it then.
The purpose of this blog post is to warn those of a nervous disposition, that at the core of the novel there are descriptions of Child Trafficking, Mutilation and Exploitation. Some of the descriptions while not of any sexual acts in progress, it might trigger people with PTSD.
It is written from the point of view of one of the victims and as such, it is not a normal crime novel/Police Procedural/whodunnit.
It starts when the main character is about 16 years old.
Please PM me if you have issues with the story. I know that one BCTS member who has seen the first few chapters has decided that was enough and was too close to their own history to be comfortable.
If you do have issues, please stop reading for your own mental health.

Although any story that I read…….
Which contains some form of forced dem, humiliation, or exploitation of another tends to bother me, I am actually looking forward to reading this. For two main reasons - first, it is your work which means it will be good, and second, as it is your work, good will probably triumph in the end - which makes going through the emotions which it will stir worth it.
Yes, it will probably upset me and make me angry at what is happening or has happened, but seeing the MC push through in the end makes it worthwhile.

All the references
to the bad stuff are historic. i.e. after the fact.
However, I will fully understand if you bail out from reading the story part of the way through it.
The 'bad stuff' is not large in percentage terms of the whole story.
