Allison Zero has reached a major turning point. I've been talking about this in both blogs and the comments on the story for the past few parts. The story is not done, and will continue, there's a lot left to be told, it's just, as the readers will know, reached a point where there's a significant change to Allison's life (beyond gender.) Certain "discoveries" have been made, which readers have commented on in the last part of the story.

What this means is that I'm ready to do what I've been talking about for a while in regards to making things easy for my readers. I've been thinking about this for a long time, and it was Columbine who brought it up for everyone to read about and discuss, basically making "complete" stories available as an epub so people can load the story onto their device without the need to come onto BCTS, reading the story on a website.

Like I said, the story isn't complete. This isn't the end of the novel, what it's more like is when you come to the end of a part of a novel, you turn over at the end of a chapter and you actually get, on a clean page, "Part 2." It's more significant than a chapter but it's not the full story. And if I ever publish this for money it would most likely come with "more" novel. At the moment the word count is sitting around 70k words, which I think is a fair read, and I hope people will be satisfied with what the story has said so far. It's certainly got people talking about the right things.

What this really means is that I'll be working on the 70k words behind the scenes, editing them into something approaching a novel format, checking for errors and continuity issues that passed me by as I wrote it first time, maybe making it flow better. Then I'll be getting a cover for it, then I'll be getting a website. And then it'll be available to stick on your Kindle or Nook. This isn't going up on the stores. This is me doing my own thing (I'm always doing my own thing.)

If anyone has any feelings about this, or a comment to make, please do. This is what I plan on working for for the next week or two, or however long it takes me. It'll also involve a bit of money (it always involves money, doesn't it?) Money at the moment which has already been earmarked for some new clothes (and beer.) So please, bear with me. I think it'll be worth it in the end. And hopefully it'll help readers who maybe want a more traditional format on their phone or ereader.

And a request, if anyone is willing to check the epub or whatever format it ends up when it's read, on their device, or phone, or whatever please let me know. It'd be a great help before I go public with a link. I only have a certain amount of devices to check it on and more tests would assure me there's no issues. There's no need for editing passes, just ensuring the formatting is correct and no errors come up in the layout of the text. Of course, feel free read the whole thing for funsies.
