When I read that term I think of Hollywood.
The one that gets me is "A real page-turner"
Well duh! You HAVE to turn the pages to read it if it's printed on paper; and if it's not it's a gibberish claim. "Page-scroller" maybe. It's weird how many of these book-jacket cliches sound more like threats than promises of a good time. "Edge of your seat thrills" doesn't sound comfortable at all, and "spine tingling" probably comes from the pinched nerve you got from sitting on the edge of your seat. And I avoid at all cost any book whose blurb touts it as having "heart-stopping action". At my age I'm not taking any chances...

Add "foot-tapping" for b-o-o-o-ring.
Hmm
Do kitties count equally for the dog ones? Otherwise I feel left out...
'Disturbing' very much applies though! :)
