"Very well, but I need to sleep now. I think I won’t have nightmares now."

Jan kisses her forehead, "Good night sweet princess."
Interlude
In a conference room, the General And Admiral are discussing the Doctor's activities.

General: The doctor has gone too far in his experiment. I never sanctioned any forced feminization of a subject as he has done to this poor child."

The Admiral: "This child was an adult male known as Jared Walsh. He ran away from an abusive home so that he could transition safely."

The General: True. But he did not ask to be made into the Doctor's sex slave with virtually no will of her own."

The Admiral: Do you believe as I do that the Doctor has a plan of his own that does not coincide with ours as I believe?"

The General: Very much so. According to a recent background check, he has been talking with the United Nations about the possibility of expanding the Plan to other nations willing to participate."

"The Admiral: We must keep him from doing that. If other nations were to gain this technology, they could wreak havoc on opposing armies by setting off a Gender Switch Bomb."

The General:” If he does that, he will have violated our agreement on the application of the procedure. I agreed to its application in the military to help the transgendered soldiers as well as the possibility of re-growing lost body parts."

The Admiral: "Same here. What of the Therapist?"

The General: "She is keeping an eye upon the test subject to keep her from being turned into another test subject of the Doctor before she is ready."

The Admiral: "Due to her awakening psionic powers, I believe that her family and friends need to get involved."

"The General: "You have the contacts?"

"The Admiral: "Arrange for Starlust to play at the clinic. THAT should take care of things."
Starlust

In the Tucker home, Jen, Sarah and Shelly were gathered together in the living room to watch a video of Jillian Tucker. She was in her glory as she sat on the stool, wearing black jeans, red blouse, and cowboy boots as she played her favorite guitar.

"I still can't believe that it's her birthday in less than a week," cried Sarah as on screen, Jill played her solo. Beloved Jill. You are why I am doing what I do.

"And that after sessions under my electrolysis gun, that she looked so pretty. If not for her being my guinea pig, I might not be a beautician," sighed Shelly.

"After my sister died, I lost all interest in Starlust. She had become our group's soul. When she died, Starlust died," wept Jenny. Oh, why did you have to go out that winter morning? If you'd waited. you'd still be alive.

"I just got off of the phone with Cindy and Kyle," announced Sarah. Such a sweet couple. Glad that I was able to help them out with their problem.

"Oh? How are the Lovebirds?" asked Shelly who had the pleasure of having them both as clients.

"Cindy is pregnant with their first child and Kyle's tour is over. Kyle wants to play with Starlust at Jillian's birthday."

"I am willing, but who will play Jillian's special?" asked Jen.

"Why not Kyle? I am sure that she'd appreciate his version. And we've yet to do a keyboard version," advised Sarah. Kyle's studious learning will contrast with our hands on learning to create a special time for all.

"Well, he does play a mean keyboard," admitted Shelly.

"You think that Mike and Anne will be there? They have those kids, now," said Jen.

"Kyle and Cindy's parents have been keeping them whenever Mike and Anne have been doing any band gigs," offered Sarah.

"I forgot about that. Then let's contact them to see if they'll be available," announced Jen.

With that, they settled down and honored Jillian, then watched ICE ANGEL in her honor.
Clinic

In the Administration Office, A well built, elderly gentleman wearing a crisp, tailored black suit was sitting across from Activities Director Joseph Harding.

"Mister Harding, I represent certain people who are concerned about the welfare of psychiatric patients."

"Mister Smith, I am more than happy to schedule any outside entertainment, but only church affiliated groups or local talents want to play here. Why would Starlust want to play here?"

"You've heard of the band?"

"Yes, My family and I used to go here them play at THE CLUB all of the time before tragedy struck," he sighed. Jillian was the best guitarist, ever. Her solos brought the house down every time.

"What was the tragedy?" This will help to confirm the identity of the Therapists friend as being Jillian Tucker. How she ever survived the wreck is a miracle.

"Jillian Tucker was involved in an auto accident that claimed her life as well as those in the other van," Does he know that she is here?

"Was there not a patient admitted to your clinic through your Emergency Room that same day?"

"Yes, Doctor Theodore Brian Jessop and his wife, Doctor Allison Nancy Jessop found a woman wandering along the roadside near the wreck," I thought that news was covered up! What is his game plan? Could he
want Jillian?
?

"Don't worry, I am simply confirming the fact that Jillian Tucker is a patient, here," he smiled.

"What business is it of yours her being here?"

"I am part of an elite group who wish to try out a new therapy upon patients who have either lost a body part or wish to change their gender. Jillian, being in transition is a suitable candidate."

"Are you talking about male to female transitions who want to be mothers?"

"Yes."

"But why come here?"

"Here, we can safely monitor Jillian before she reintegrates back into society."

"Why have you not let her friends know? It's been nearly ten years since her accident,"

"Because when she was first admitted, the process was just beginning to take shape. You don't want to see the horrors that were created before the process was perfected." That Doctor mutilated far too many cadavers that became modern day 'Frankenstein monsters and runaways that became shemale prostitutes for us to NOT stop his madness. But he is the C.I.A.'s GOLDEN BOY. So we can't until he steps outside of the Law.

"Sounds as if this "doctor" is a monster who peddles flesh. Already, there have been overtures to get Jillian to become a recipient of the process."

"Why hasn’t she?"

"Her counselor, Jen Sorensen has stood in the way; In fact, she volunteered for the process to be done to her instead of Jillian."

"She too is like Jillian."

"Yes, in fact, she knew Jillian when she was James."

"Interesting. Tell me more." I already know, but it seems that this man knows everything about Jillian. Now to see why Jillian was not released long ago.

"Back when Jillian was James, she was tormented by a fellow student who due to an accident, became a female who became a therapist here who befriended Jillian."

"Jan Sorenson."

"How do you know?"

"Sir, I've made it my business to know everything about Jillian ever since she became a candidate for the Process. Why have YOU not released her into the public?"

"She is not ready, yet."

"Explain."

"She sees Jillian Tucker as weak. She is not ready to meet her family and
friends yet."

"And how do YOU know so much?"

"I am the Activities Director as well as Patient Information Administrator. As such, I am the one authorized to let patients back out into the public."

"Then Keep an eye on Jillian. I fully expect for her to be subjected to the Process before she is ready."

"That, I fully intend to do."
Jillian
Jillian awakens in Jan's arm after a peaceful sleep that restores her Spirit. Here I am, lying next to Jan after my breakdown. She has a husband that she loves. Yet she spends time with me that she should be spending with him. Has her pledge of friendship cost her marriage? God! I hope not!

"Morning, Jillian. Sleep well?' asked Jan as she stretched.

"Yes, Jan. But I am worried for you," she sighed.

"What about?"

"Your husband. You have spent so much time with me that you are neglecting him."

Jan hugged Jillian, "Jeff is currently working in the clinic's Emergency Room. He knows all about you and why I am helping. Do you remember Jeff Sorensen from the past?"

"Yes, he was one of the very few who did not hurt James Tucker. I also remember a James Moore who used to attack James Tucker."

"That was me, Jillian," she sighed. Will she accept me as a friend after finally realizing who I was? I hate to admit it, but I enjoyed tormenting Jame. If not for Jeff's understanding and love, I'd not have been able to become who I am, now.

She looked at Jan in wonder, "What happened to you?" I have come to love Jan as a sister. Could she have truly been one to hurt James Tucker?

"Back when I was ten years old, I was tormenting James Tucker because I was jealous of him being so girly."

"But James Tucker was not girly. He was called a queer and a fag by his tormentors," Offered Jillian. Could she be right?

"Jillian, I also wanted to be a girl, but was afraid to be one, seeing how you were treated. But my best friend Jeff saw through my disguise and fell in love with the girl that I was hiding."

"Yes, Jeff was very nice and helped James Tucker after the bullies tired of their sport."

"That is why when I lost my gonads due to a baseball, I left town and became Jan. If not for Jeff's Love, I doubt that I'd be here," she wept. How can Jillian ever forgive me?

Jillian kissed her on the forehead, "Jan, it was not you that hurt James Tucker. So there is no reason for Jillian Tucker to forgive or forget anything."

"What about you, Jillian Doe?"

"We are friends, are we not?"

"I hope that we are, but I can't tell after my revelation," she sighed. Why did I ever bully James back then? Why did it take my becoming Jan for me to accept James as Jillian?

"Jan, be at Peace. It was you who befriended Jillian Tucker when she needed a friend. And you are my friend as well. Both you and Jeff have done so much for me that I can never repay. That is why I worry about you spending so much time with me."

"Well, to tell the Truth, Jeff and I have been meetingNow maybe she'll know that I don't hold any animosity against her. All of my animosity is against James Moore who died when Jen was born.

She looked at Jillian in mock aspiration that covered up her relief, "You Cheshire Cat you! You set me up, but good! “She giggled. But I deserved it for doubting you."

"Jan, I am glad that we are friends. I now know that I can trust you."
The Club
Mike and Anne were recording Starlust Special Jillian Tucker for the Full Spectrum: a charity devoted to helping Transwomen in memory of Jillian Tucker. Each year, they had recorded the Jillian Tucker Tribute at cost with all proceeds going to the Jillian Tucker Foundation.

It was run from Sarah Tucker's office by Annie's husband, Frank where he kept a Post Office Box and a web site to avoid any trouble with any gay bashers and homophobes who chose to assault Sarah and Shelly's clients.

The Full Spectrum office building was fenced in by a brick wall and video surveillance run by Rainbow Security, a security firm made up of Full Spectrum former clients from Law Enforcement and the Military.

Rainbow Security was started by retired Detective Danni Scott. She had transitioned just before entering the Police Academy and was forced to retire after being wounded in the line of duty revealed her past, due to the City's Don't Ask, Don't Tell policy.

For her unblemished record, she was promoted from Sergeant all the way to Detective with all of the privileges and benefits of a career officer. She started Rainbow Security soon after to keep busy, little knowing what a boon she'd be to the T.G. Community.

She found that there were many shops owned and operated by the T.G. Community that either could not hire a security company or found them severity lacking.

So she hired other veterans like her and installed top quality systems into her client’s homes and businesses and gave her employees equipment from military surplus as well as Hummers for transport. After ten years, Rainbow Security had earned a reputation for excellence with the Police and Sheriff's Departments.

"Anne, we almost have it ready. Now, all that we need is Kyle on his keyboard to give the C.D. the oomph it needs," suggested Mike.

"Mike, you know that he wasn't there for the tribute," accused Anne.

"That might be, but you know that he'll want to give a solo to honor Jillian, and you know how much Cindy loves to dance."

"I can't wait for him and Cindy to get back from the tour. I hear that she's pregnant."

"About time. They deserve the joy of parenthood s much as we did with Tommy," sighed Mike. Seeing that tiny baby made e realize how important Life is and what Anne went through to give birth to him.

"Mike, are you thinking about...?"

"Anne, Jillian, even if she had the operation, could never give birth as you did to Tommy."

She hugged him, "Very few men would feel as you do, Mike. I am so lucky to have married you."
Kyle and Cindy
Kyle and Cindy were in a black, Crown Victoria Limo heading home from dropping off their parents back home after the tour. Kyle was wearing a red polo shirt and jeans while Cindy wore a pale blue sundress and hose.

"Can you imagine them at the Civic Center waiting to hear me?" asked a blushing Kyle.

"That was my gift to you for showing me how much you loved me during the tour," admitted Cindy.

"When I proposed to you, I vowed to show you my love for you. I almost lost you being too caught up in my music," wept a tearful Kyle.

Cindy hugged him, almost, my Love, but I couldn't give up on you without a fight. But I first had to win an inner battle over your feminine side that scared me," she sighed. Kyle will never be a macho man, but he is 'ALL' man where it counts.

"Scared you? It scared ME with Wilkins' demented attention. I wondered if I was gay and he picked up on it. Am I ever glad that Sarah set me straight on that."

"Yes, she also helped me to see beyond your feminine side and see the man that I loved. Then she helped me to love your feminine side."

"How?"

"She helped me to see that I saw your feminine side as competition for your Love. It was after I was able to love your feminine side as a sister that I could finally love all of you. Why else do you think that I have so much fun helping you to get dressed?"

"I've often wondered about that. I guess that it took our parents at the concert and you being pregnant for us to finally being able to talk about it," he sighed as they cuddled.

"All that I know is now that I am carrying your child; I feel that everything that we went through was worth it. I just wish that we could have been here for Jillian's Tribute Concert."

"Me too. But the C.D. that's being readied will have a solo that I recorded for it."

"When did you EVER have the time?" she giggled, knowing that he didn't get to any studio.

"I sent in a recording where I did a solo of Jillian's Special song, except that I used my keyboard to add in a symphonic band. It took me a year to get it right."

Cindy looked at it in wonder as she contemplated the enormous sacrifice of time that he'd put into the solo, "Why? We don't know Jillian. Was it for Sarah?"

"No, it was for us, My Love."

"Us?"

"Yes, I've seen the videos of Starlust at THE CLUB and saw how much Jillian changed over time, just as I did. She went through her personnel hell only to die after winning the final battle. We are much alike in many ways," he sighed.

"You're not saying that you want to be a woman, are you?'

"No, both Jillian and I have gone through our respective hells, except that I have you in my Life. But poor Sarah has no one. She is alone. Have you read Jillian's story?"

"I have. You're right about how much you two are alike, but Jillian's talent comes from playing from the Heart, NOT from learning as you did from school."

"True, but I am learning her style by doing that solo."

"Somehow, I feel that will be put to the test, all too soon," confided Cindy.

"Why?"

"Woman's intuition."

... I really don't want to

... I really don't want to say something negative about a story. But i really think that Stanman has failed to capture the spirit of the original story that Jillian Marie started.

This story is okay in its own right but when viewed as a sequel to Changing Keys.... I believe it fails to give do either story justice.
