So BigCloset and surrounding is basically my full time job. I spend time buidling websites, tuning our site and others hosted by us, ressurecting sometimes forgoten projects that have been neglected over time, and try to think of ways to reduce costs, and/or increase revenue.
But like everyone else, I sometimes need to do "something else".
So as many of you know, I got really intersted in Photography (read as, fell down the photography rabbit hole).
Most recently, Cat, Myself, Amy and the NinjaBaby attendted the Atlantic City Airshow and so I figured I would share a few pictures with you.
These are only a few from my full gallery. I had about 3,000 shutter activations, and I've pulled out 69 photos out of that group so far. If there is interest I will post the link to the full gallery when it's ready.

The Blue Angels
Last time I saw them in person my 25 year old nephew was ten. The thunderbirds appear at MacDill AFB most every year but it's way too hot on the tarmac. Love to see more pics of the air show. (Aviation buff since I was little). Those are great pics.

I got around it by clicking on a comment but others may not be that devious.
Beautiful
Beautiful shots of the Red Arrows piper, you could be their official photographer with shots like that.

Long Lens
Thank you. I got a lot of the RAF Red Arrows. They put on a hell of a show. I was doing my best with my 400mm Sigma lens to get clarity and the scene. The main issues I had is when they came close and I didn't want to be swapping lenses.

long lens solution
Get a second camera, or at least a second camera body. Leave the long lens on one body and put an intermediate lens, say an 80-210 zoom on the other. I have a Canon 400D and another slightly newer Canon 5D. Long and intermediate lens. Or intermediate and wide-angle lens. Just depends on the event.
(Once upon a time I made good money. But these days a slightly older body will still have good specs.)

Sony E Mount
I have another body. Sony E Mount A6000. Its a great little mirrorless camera. The problem is my 18-55 lens took some drop damage a while ago (Amy my wife also uses an E Mount body, A5000) And i haven't gotten around to replacing it. $60-100 for a used lens isn't bad, but we have had other priorities recently. I also have the 55-210 KIT that i had on it that day but even it at 55mm wasn't wide enough to catch some of the things.
dumb question
could you make a book of your photos and put it for sale? just a thought
Physical Prints
I have some of this batch coming back as 8x10 prints. If they look decent (there is a lot more work for a print-ready digital photo, than one that has been made for digital display), I will likely have prints, and possibly a physical book for sale.

Fracture
Have you ever tried those fracture prints? They are printed on the back of a highly polished piece of glass and you view them through the front side of the glass. Numbers 1 and 4 would look really good that way. The glass gives an illusion of depth that would really make these pop out.

Stunning
I love the first bi-plane image: the colours of the smoke against the clouds and the lack of any other reference, there's just something timeless about it.
I really like this one too.
I really like this one too. The print came back stunning.
Great Red Arrows Shots
Funny enough I have just been watching them at New York and Canada on Youtube. They are great PR shots, I had a poster similar to the fourth one on my wall as a teenager when they used Gnats.
Have you thought of putting them on one of those websites that lets you sell use of them without losing the copyright as they are super shots Piper.

BTW Where was the airshow?
Thunder on the Boardwalk
Airshow was Thunder on the Boardwalk in Atlantic City, New Jersey. And I've thought about doing a lot of things, even opening a table @ the local flea market and trying to sell some prints. Should I get money to put into stock I think I will do that a bit, just to see what interest there is.
