I wrote this first as a comment but thought it worthwhile to repeat in a blog.
Like I've said before there are elements in 'I'm Not Supergirl' that just doesn't fit into the canon universe. Additionally someone else has the canon rights to that character. Other characters are also going to appear that others have also claimed prior to me. The biggest reason for this is that I write too cotton-picking slow!

It took me a year and half to write this. Others were just faster off the mark, and I don't begrudge them or their efforts. I felt bad that I might've stepped on someone else's toes (Actually I've PM'ed with the holder of the rights, and I've been assured that's it's all right!) I sent this by Lilith first as a courtesy just because I didn't want to hurt any feelings here.

Maggie's Spectre stories already have the alternate world thing going as well as being part of the DC and Marvel Universes at large. That's way I call my world Earth 3 7\8's. It's close, but not the same as the canon world.

So while I'm flattered by the attention, my tale can not and will not be canon. Earth 3 7/8 is off in the corner and more than likely this finished story will be a stand alone. I do have some thoughts on a sequel, but since I'm in the middle of moving to another state right in the middle of the holidays it's going to take forever to get things sorted so I can began writing again. That's why I'm dumping everything I have vaguely finished now.

So thanks again for all the kind thoughts and words, but please just enjoy the story. If any of the canon writers want to borrow any of my ideas, please PM me and we'll talk. Not everything is as it appears! :)

I know its not cannon

but its a darn good story, and if some form of dimensional transport happens in the Ret-con world, I'd love to see Kara pay it a visit. Until and unless that happens, its like Marvel's "What If" or when DC did "Elseworlds". I am reminded of what Alan Moore said in his story "The Last Days of Superman" - "This is an imaginary story - arn't they all?"

Huummmm! Supes on? I think

Huummmm! Supes on? I think I will make hamburger soup for tonight. Personally I think canon for imaginary characters is not all that important, since they are imaginary and "what if" scenarios have been played out a LOT in the role playing gaming world. I recall one character that wasn't quite as fast as a speeding bullet, took two or more bounds to leap tall and taller buildings, was only more powerful than a speeding 18 wheeler at 100 MPH, and was somewhat lacking in imagination and smarts. I called him Stupidman, as I recall.

Powergirl

Well Stan, power levels isn't the problem. It's that my story doesn't fit all the criteria for canon. I wanted to have fun writing this and I did even though parts gave me fits.

Thank you Dorothy! I certainly wouldn't rule out travel between universes. It's a comic tradition after all!

Thank you both for your support and kind words.
