Those of you following my main novels, Becoming Robin and Boys Don't Cry have probably noticed I haven't been very active lately. Part of that is that this is storm season, and since I usually do my writing in the evening, that's put a big halt to using the main PC. I finally got Windows 7 on my laptop though I still need to find my MS Office disc for that.
Ideally, I'd like to have the next chapter of Boys Don't Cry done soon, and Becoming Robin shortly after that, but I've learned not to make plans when it comes to when I'll have something ready for posting :-P
The weather's at least giving me ideas to make Sarah's life even more miserable though... :-)

I feel oh so ancient all of a sudden. Last I checked pen and paper still is functional tech. A lot of writers still use it as a matter of fact as for some, they do it deliberately because it makes them think harder about a plot line before committing pen to paper. For me, back in the stone age, work flow was paper/pen draft -> typewriter ( or was that stone tablet? hmmmm, I ferget :).)
I am not saying that you should not work without your computer but I wonder how pervasive this dependency is now. We are just so spoiled these days. On a more serious note, a laptop with long battery life not plugged into the wall is a good alternative of course.

GFCI $8.00
Whole house surge $80.00
All purpose surge strip $40.00
Good Electrician $ however much it would cost me to drive there. :)
Worth the wait...
Take your time. It's always worth the wait for one of your stories. :-)
