I am not sure if I did this right and it needs to be corrected before I post my next chapter if I did it wrong. I just posted chapter 2 of my story, The Lesson Learned. To post the chapter I added it as a child page to the first chapter. Was that the correct way to do it? Or is there another way to link them that I haven't figured out yet?

Posting

Since it is not showing on the main page, I don't think You posted it right. But I can't see what you did wrong because I am on my phone.

Well something isn't right

Ok, you add a new chapter the same way as posting the first one, use the the "add a story" option from the menu on the right hand side of the site or the ++Fiction shortcut at the top of the page. You don't need to establish the link when you post subsequent chapters, it can be done afterwards from the Outline tab when you use the editor for each chapter.

There's some helpful stuff in the FAQs covering the ins and outs of posting and pretty much anything else you might need to know as an author.

Is the text here the entire post?

yes that is the full second

yes that is the full second chapter and I think I got it now. at least the chapters are linked and the new chapter shows on the main page of BC. I followed your instructions to get it that way. I have bookmarked the link you gave and will be looking at it later, it should be very helpful. thank you so much for taking the time to help me :D

Fixed, I think

I converted your "book" page to a "fiction" page and properly set the flags so it shows up on the front page. :)

You can edit it to adjust anything you think needs adjusting.

One MORE thing

NEVER repost without being told to. :) It just adds more confusion. I deleted your second post of the same chapter.

I was wondering where that

I was wondering where that went, I noticed afterwards that both posts were showing on the main page then the one I had linked disappeared so I linked the other one. thank you Erin :)
