So the journey continues....

Today, I went to the hormone doctor. I am sure there is a proper title for that, something that ends in ologist. So I will say I went to the hormonologist today.

Was a fairly benign procedure. Costly, but benign. They took my pulse, they took my blood pressure, they took blood, they took money. I did a few sheets of paper work prior and they asked me questions about that. It's easier to explain not having knees when they can see for themselves.

So, the result.

I will start 1mg estradiol (i think twice a day and I hope with food, even when it says not with food I have half a sandwich) as soon as the prescription comes in. I may or may not be taking a testosterone blocker, depending on the lab results, so we are going to wait. The reason is because last time I had my hormone levels checked my testosterone was 75 mml (or whatever they message that cursed chemical in) which is quite low and made the doctor want me to take the wrong hormone.

To reward myself, I bought a pair of earrings. Mainly because I lost the stud in the pair that I had. Sooner or later people will notice what I am doing, but for now I am taking an inside out approach.

But a small step for a man, a giant leap for little katie kind.

Endocrinology (from Greek ἔνδον, endo, "within"; κρῑνω, krīnō, "to separate"; and -λογία, -logia) is a branch of biology and medicine dealing with the endocrine system, its diseases, and its specific secretions called hormones.

good luck and i hope you see rapid results like i did.

i took the 1st tablet (same stuff) 5th July 2002, and within a week my face was sore, took a few days untill my wife pointed out i was smilling all the time, it had been so long my face was sore, never needed T-blockers, as 2 tablets a day dropped T levels to the fem range.

*hugs*

All I will say

Is that I am smiling in understanding. The journey isn't beginning, but it is finally getting a bit of momentum to it. Hugs!

You are ahead of me.

I'm not upset, much. I am anxious to begin, but I have a good plan, and I'll stick with it. Loose weight, then HRT.

One of the medicines would do me a lot of good though. I think it is called Spirolacetone, a testosterone blocker. Basically it is a really good blood pressure medicine, except for that one negative side effect, which is not a negative at all for some of us. It is possible that I will wind up taking it for my health, isn't that a kicker.

I am actually looking forward to seeing the my new doc.

And yet another step - let's hope forward

There are certain foods such as soy bean products that contain plant based estrogen. Wy not consume those products?

why stanman

Because you would have to eat so much of that product that you would wind up weighing a ton.

Writing is what you do when you put pen to paper, being an author is what you do when you bring words to life

or spending a ton.

On the extracts... which are really really retarded expensive.

Congratulations Katie! I still need to figure out how I'm going to start that step of the journey.
