Headaches
I am currently recovering from a stroke, no I did not have any headaches but I did suffer from so swelling in my feet and legs. Just woke up and my right side felt like 10,000 lbs of dead weight and absolutlely no strength on my right side. The wonderful man that took a chance on this trans lady called EMS immedetly and got me to the hospital, I thank god for him every day.

Went thru something similiar to a stroke
A stroke is either a blood vessel becoming blocked or ruptured cutting off blood to parts of the brain.
When I fractured my skull back in January of 22 and had 3 different brain bleeds from it and thus stroke like conditions. The doctors said the issues I had (and still working on) were from the brain bleeds and were similar to that of having a stroke. I lost much of my strength in my right side, arm and leg both,all the fine motor skills in my right hand and I have trouble finding some words when talking.
We the willing, led by the unsure. Have been doing so much with so little for so long,
We are now qualified to do anything with nothing.

Headaches
My dad had a stroke while working his retirement job. Docs said on a scale of 10 being worst, his was a 9.5. he never said anything about a headache prior. My wife and her mother both had strokes. Neither complained of headaches. That said, ........ A headache could be included in events leading to a stroke. Reduced, impeded, or blocked flow could increase pressure, causing problems. Sudden weakness, babbling or loss of language skills, funny vision, even funny eye, or eyes, that a friend could note should be considered. I think you have had the problem before, right? Take your aspirin as indicated for pain and blood thinning. If syptoms don't ease shortly, I would look to the pro's for being checked over. Don't panic over it, the stress could worsen things. Remember, one artery supplies all the body from the heart, with the second artery straight to the head, so there's a lot of pressure there.
If symptoms, call emergency services >Now<.
Don't bother with Internet >anything< - just >Call!<
Call Emergency and give location first, (cell phones can be 'fuzzy' locating us) then unlock door ... while you can ... Stay on the line.
Headaches
My mother more than likely experienced a severe headache before she stroked out. On the night of her stroke my brother reported that Mom was using so much of her usual 'axe' oil to ease the pain of headaches. Unfortunately she was a chronic sufferer of headaches her entire life so she missed this fatal sign.
She had diabetes and extremely high blood pressure of like a180 systolic and she did not take care of either well unfortunately, leading her to get a stroke.

Stroke signs and symptoms
The acronym is FAST.
F facial droop or loss of symmetry
A arm (or leg) weakness
S slurring or other speech difficulties
T time. Call for an ambulance and get to emergency medical care
It takes four hours or less before brain damage is irreversible. Modern stroke treatment can at times leave no noticeable loss. The single most critical factor is time from onset to treatment. Early recognition and intervention are crucial.
Headache is not a usual symptom. Some bleed strokes can have intense headache, but this is so rare as not to be useful.

I replied privately with my experiences. I hope you're asking from a need to research a story and not personal need. If personal need, see a physician. This is not a road you wish to travel! At the absolute least, take an aspirin to thin your blood. And see a physician at an ER, if nothing else.
Aspirin how often?
Mine are 52 mg.

My heart doctor...
has me taking 375mg once a day, but then I've had 2 silent heart attacks and have scar tissue the size of a quarter in what he said is the "widow maker" area of the heart.

I get the baby equivalent
I get the baby equivalent with enteric coating once a day (So, what, 50 mg?); I used to get injections of a more potent blood thinner, into my abdomen once a day for the first couple of years, but my stroke was 5 years ago with no sign of blood pressure issues now, probably because of other medications I take.
But, again, find a way to see

Don't Seek Help Here
Go to a doctor. A headache may mean a stroke or it may not. Just a few weeks ago a very good friend of mine dropped dead with a brain stroke and had no earlier symptoms. Two days earlier we had been enjoying a meal.

I have suffered from a stroke going on 10yrs ago. That said I dealt with migraines before and after my stroke. My blood pressure (high) was the culprit in both my migraines and my stroke.
My Dr. has me taking Heart Health 81mg Aspirin once a day. Apparently the blood thinning is good for heart attacks and strokes. I still get headaches however they are thankfully not migraines. At least usually. As other people suggested see your Dr. (if you can afford their outrageous fees.)

I had an episode of arterial fibrulation (Afib) several years ago. It happened while I was in my cardiologist's office. Since this can lead to stroke he prescribed Eloquis (the stuff Arnold Palmer used). The pharmacist told me the cost would be $500 per month. Gasp!!! My nephrologist (kidney doctor) told me a better choice would be Coumadin (Warfarin Sulfate) . Less cost ($20/month) and easier to counter if needed.
The cardiologist agreed and added a baby aspirin (81 mg). Finger sticks every couple of weeks. They adjusted the dose depending on how well my blood was thinned.
Several years later while getting my hemoglobin checked (anemia) the level was so low I was rushed to emergency in the same hospital. Verdict: gastric bleed. Slap me into ICU, give me a unit of blood, and start the doctor parade. When I got out six days later I'd had a colonoscopy (bottom-up), an endoscopy (mouth-down), A little radio pill to connect the two (it got lost), and got my blood pressure squared away. I had a couple of polyps trimmed and a bank account severely dented even with insurance. Prescription stayed the same.
The next summer it happened again but since Covid was rampant I only had a couple of days in ICU then to a regular bed for a total of eleven days. No wifey visits this time. I adjusted my Warfarin myself and eliminated the aspirin. Three years later and the bills are finally paid, I'm very careful about blood thinners and so far no strokes, DVT, PE and pay very close attention to the FAST recomenfations.
