This woman caused riots in New Zealand with her anti-trans opinions, with which she courts the fascist right-wing, neo-nazis. She is British but I firmly believe if anyone should lose their citizenship, it should be her,

Her Logic Needs Tuning

BarbieLee's picture

“I have grave fears for this place,” she said as she left. “This country’s fucked.”
That is sooo funny! New Zealand has managed to survive this long without her, I believe it will last a little longer. Not sure about England though? She's homeward bound.

Wonder if I can join her? I can't stand those trannies either. They are the rot of society. We're lost. Oh wait a minute, oops, I looked in the mirror. I know God has a sense of humor. She made me.

Frankly, I appreciate having

Frankly, I appreciate having the real loonies out there stirring up trouble.

The reasoning may seem odd, but it's true. When they're out in public, you know what they're thinking, who they're attacking, and how to avoid them. When you've forced them into hiding, they can plot without any way to prepare against them. The people to be cautious about aren't these, really, it's the ones that stay quiet and work slowly.

I'll get a life when it's proven and substantiated to be better than what I'm currently experiencing.

In Favour?

Those in Australia were NOT in favour of this woman. Her one rally was attended/infiltrated by Nazi extremists and there were demonstrations by LGBT groups against her views, who greatly outnumbered her supporters. She was widely condemned and left us in rather a hurry.

It is believed that her visit was funded by fundamentalist "CHRISTIAN" groups and TERF organisations.

Yes, I read that ...

... and I'd never heard of her before, either.

I don't know New Zealand well but it was far from fucked when we cycled round S Island in 1999, quite the reverse in fact, and I'm sure (apart from the dreadful earthquake) it's far from fucked now. They seem to have survived the pandemic better than most, as well.

Free speech

Maddy Bell's picture

is one thing, hate speech and incitement to violence whether on race, religous or any other stand point is abuse of this hard fought for right enjoyed in most 'developed' states. We decry extremists, we learn't a lesson from the Nazis right? Or did we, They may not be out on the streets but given the seed that incidents like this give, there will be a huge groundswell of unvoiced support, hatred of our fellow man doesn't go away just because the law makers say so, instead it festers like an abcess, in public no one is a racist etc, behind closed doors its a different story.

Is there an answer? If there is i don't profess to know it, i do know that making laws often just drives things underground, rape is illegal but still happens, hating ...(insert group of your choice) is punishable but it still happens, all the laws end up doing is giving a 'card' that is then played anytime the respective group feels wronged or commits a crime. There has always been 'hate' crime, bullying, anti social views and actions, in the 21st century its far easier to spread information than ever before, a few keyboard clicks and the whole world knows what you had for breakfast, your take on gender rights or your high score on GTA.

Despite the protestations, the NZ government could have prevented this 'things' entry to the country which in turn gave her the 15 minutes of attention she was after. They chose to allow her entry despite the evidence from Australia.

And anyway, anyone with a double barrelled double barrelled name has to be a villain, right?

If your supporters are Nazis, your message is fucked, not the country that doesn't want to listen to your garbage.

One of the speakers for her

leeanna19's picture

One of the speakers for her organization, Standing For Women, actually quoted Hitler as if was a good thing! No wonder she appeals to Neo-nazi's.

At a Standing For Women rally in Newcastle upon Tyne on 15 January 2023, speaker Lisa Morgan referred to "the big lie", including that it was "first described by Adolf Hitler in Mein Kampf", and said "The big lie is that trans women are women." Queer.de reported Keen appeared "visibly and audibly in a good mood" after the speech, based on a YouTube video of the event posted to Keen's account. A spokesperson for Cabaret Against The Hate Speech, a Scottish LGBT collective, announced plans to counterprotest Keen's speaker event scheduled for 5 February in Glasgow, and stated "she was using Nazi theory, the big lie which was what they used against the Jews, to justify her transphobia. At no point did anybody on Keen's team or Keen challenge that. No one in the group did anything afterwards, they didn’t apologise, they were actually trying to justify it."
