guess i need to set something new!
Yep, i've moved into the next decade of this life, thanks for the greetings.
So after the late post on Thursday not a lot has occured around chez Bell, Friday was mostly taken with small chores, replacing an inner tube (failed repair), replacing the cleats on my cycling boots, laundry, baking a cake, fetching a tomato free bit of food shopping and decorating said birthday cake!
Saturday was the big day of course, the forecast bright but with a cold north easterly so the plan was a goodly ride out to get some lunch of some sort. Well i ended up in Royal Wootton Bassett where i partook of a cheese and bacon toastie before looping down through Calne and Malmesbury and back via Bath, pausing at @ 125km for tea and cake - well it was my birthday ride. I finished on 130km with a little shy of 1000m of up, my biggest ride of 2023 so far.
It was sausage and chips for tea, washed down with a cheeky red and followed by a generous slice of that cake! Hey, i know how to live the high life!
Today is Aunty Bev's birthday so we're going out to grab some lunch and look at canals, its another bright, cold day so all is well!

I'm still younger than her by, let's see, almost a year and a half. Granted my body has the health of a 90 year old, but hey! Who wants be dying of nothing in the hospital at 105? :D

I'm planning my 69th (*) to be totally self-indulgent at a restaurant locally (Chicago, IL, USA) famous for deep-dish pizza and deserts.
My goal is to get almost (but not quite) so completely stuffed (like, and with, the pizza) as to need to take a taxi home. Then pass out in bed.
