You aren't alone, Dot

The only thing keeping me from forgetting what day it is with frightening regularity is my writing schedule, but even then I often need to remind myself. I think, as writers, our muses take up too much space in our heads, so there's no space for unimportant minutiae, such as the day of the week. ;)

Don't take me too seriously. I'm just kitten around. :3

:) Phttt.. :)

I'm retired, so far fewer things are day/date-critical for me.

Still, I do have a required once-a-day Rx, so a 'seven-days' pills container helps. And I sometimes have to 'ask' my phone the date ...

My social life is quite important to me, so I do track. I have not one, but four 'systems': FB Events; Google Calendar, MeetUpcom, and "Free Alarm Clock".

And I still had to dig through that 'mess', to verify that an event I feared I was missing right now ... is a week hence.

At least I did remember to shovel today's hugs out into 'the ether'... :)

Totally normal

I forget what day of the week it is on a regular basis! So if there's anything wrong with your brain, you're in good company!

Seriously though, it's perfectly normal to lose track of time, even whole days. People do it all the time and there's nothing wrong with them. It's just a side-effect of our hectic modern lives. We get used to a pattern of activity, things get busy, and before you know it it's Thursday! It's even worse when you're used to being very busy and then find yourself with downtime. We use activities as a 'crutch' to remind us where we are in our schedules, and when you don't have that you don't know how to cope.

So take heart! You're not alone!
