Well, I spent most of my day hanging out in a hospital waiting room with my daughter while my ex got a CT scan on her heart.

It was stressful, but then my ex managed to make it worse, as after it was over, she asked me to run her to get some pet food, and while at the checkout, the cashier first called me "sir", and then corrected himself and called me "ma'am". Of course, my ex couldn't stand that, and loudly "corrected" him while I stood there feeling helpless to stop her.

As if my week hasn't been hard enough with PTSD flashbacks, physical pain and depression, she has to add to my already large amount of dysphoria ...

No one can hurt us like the ones we love. They're inside our defenses and even when we know it's coming, their attacks blindside you.

I think we all know what that feels like. :(

My mom did a couple of similar things at our family dinner for Thanksgiving last month, one of them my nephew called her on, the other I did.
and she actually apologized for both. [ it is kind of hard for parents to remember a new name for their child because of transition. (the second incident)]

Stupidity is a capital offense. A summary not indictable.
