Hello Everyone
I have a story to post and I would like to post it in the most polished condition that I can. It has been some time in the making, and as I have proofed and read it so many times that it makes my eyes crossed!
And as most people know having a fresh set of eyes look at anything will provide the author with things that they may have missed - due only to the familiarity with the text that an author has.
Also there is the fact that I may need some pointers or encouragement to expand or explain a section of the text further than I have. So that's where the Critic part comes in (I just don't like that word "Critic" makes everyone think that they are the end all be all when it comes to almost anything under the sun). It maybe better if "suggestor of another way" be used, LOL.
It may have to be revised greatly before it gets posted, who knows?
The story is set in the 1870's on a sailing ship out of England dealing with a runaway, being convinced to appear as a refined Lady. there is some sex in the later parts (just so any potentials are forewarned).
If anyone is interested in Proofing and editing this for me I would be appreciative. And you would of curse receive credit for doing so.

Although I have the same issues that a lot of others here too - I am trying to write my own stuff, keep up with reading what others write, and of course, deal with off-line real life stuff too. It sounds very like a very interesting idea, though.

I'd like to Thank everyone who responded to me either through PM's or directly via this post.
I've found some wonderful help in my very hour of need. And they have come through for me in a big way, either correcting my fumbling mistakes or just offering encouragement to a novice wanna-be-poster.
I really do appreciate all the assistance that I've received over the last few days and after I correct my bumbles I will post the first section of the story.
